I take back my previous Ziyech comment. 2 excellent showings in a row from him. If he can keep this run of form combined with CHO playing well, healthy Pulisic and getting Lukaku/Werner back.. watch out.
Lukaku better come ready to play off this injury because I do think the team has flowed better since he’s been out. We still need more goals from up front and I do think that tuchel will play him a lot but we should try and chance how we play as little as possible

Watching the highlights again this morning and the commentary on the CHO goal got me smiling: “They are TEARING UP Juventus, that’s how good Chelsea are right now! These are PREMIUM visitors and Chelsea are diminishing them.” Good stuff
I really hope this guy is wrong. Losing chilwell for the season would really hurt. The fullbacks have been such a key part of our success. I just don’t know if Alonso can hold up for the season. Might need to look for a LWB backup on loan or trial azpi and/or CHO there in the next cup game edit: if chilwell is out for the year, we could try and buy Alonso’s replacement in January. Would give us good cover and then we can sell alonso in the summer and have the new guy backup chilwell. Always very difficult to get a depth guy on loan.
Wasn’t really expecting us to be very active in January but that would be a good reason to. Hate to have to make a move though since it always comes at a premium that window. Hopefully Chilly B ends up ok.
never ideal to need to make a signing in January but it would be a pretty big risk to roll with Alonso and no true backup if Ben is out for the season. Not sure what we would do. I’ve seen us roll the dice in situations like this and I’ve seen us make moves. Almost always those moves don’t work out so your concern is very valid.
Someone on twitter brought up Saul as a possible LWB backup to Alonso. He played some LB for atletico, has played plenty of LM when they’ve gone 442 and he’s left footed. Also not needed at CM with RLC now CM4. Might be worth giving him a try in a cup game or subbing him on if we are blowing a team out and trying it out.
That seems to be pumping them up based on name alone. They barely made top 4 last season and are in 8th place. They’re as close to the relegation zone (12 points) as they are top of Serie A
Maybe rudiger ends up playing some wingback if someone else proves competent at LCB. His heat map in certain matches we dominate is so aggressive

I’ve got a warmup jacket, a beanie, a scarf, several kits, a couple keychains, a mug, and that hoodie coming. My dad has some of the pajama pants and socks and stuff. Never had a problem with any of it but the keychains rub down really easily. One was just a painted on crest which, duh, scratched off with key rubbing. The other is a UCL trophy (sorry) that got a patina real quick.

After years of buying the knock off kits I sprung for a real one this year. The difference in quality is quite noticeable. Much more so than in the past. Only other real one I had previously purchased was a 2010-11 I bought at the Bridge when I was studying in London. I'd say I regret getting rid of it but I'm entirely too fat to have even tried to fit into it now.
