I was listening to a podcast that theorized we might punt on the League Cup because the semifinal or final came up against the Club World Cup and wouldn't be rescheduled.

Actually looking at the schedule though I don't see why this would happen as the semis are the weeks of 1/3 and 1/10 and the final is 2/27.
