Is it easier being an alcoholic HC in Norman, Oklahoma than a DC in Clemson, South Carolina?

 

This is just the first stage of the HC hirings that will probably have a ripple effect for the next 2-3 weeks across the sport.

And after that, there's going to be a crazy run on assistant hirings on top of it with all the money flying around. That might end up getting even weirder. Tennessee was basically holding out $1-1.5M last year waiting for any random DC candidate to take it. Guessing there's going to be a lot of that.

 

there is like this solar eclipse that happens within the ACC that whenever Wake Forest wins the conference, all the other teams look around and decide to start taking football more seriously.

we’ve spent a lot of money over the last 5 years in very stupid ways to improve the optics of the football program. Because the money was spent stupidly, we still don’t have competitive facilities for football operations, but at least the tv shows some nice seat backs for the empty seats and we have a nice press box.

WF totally backed itself into landing a mastermind of offensive mesh concepts with no ambition for a cutthroat college gig...but they have done a fantastic job investing in facilities/resources. Esp relative to what you'd think would be available.
