wonder how reliable that source is that said that. not that all that doesn't seem to track but just curious.
I think we’ve been largely on one side of the transfer portal, and that is the beneficiary. So this is a new feeling for a lot of our fanbase that has no idea how to process it, but this is life in the ncaa now once the portal was introduced. Life goes on. Gus has to look at what he has and what’s coming in and decide if that’s good enough for 2022 or hit the portal himself for a gap year QB.
I'd be surprised if he doesn't try to find a transfer QB at least to provide some competition but not sure what will be out there.
I guess I look at it like this. If DG stayed healthy then he would be gone anyway to the draft. He is selfish and not a leader. Adios.
In what way? Sports fans are deeply emotional into their teams and they expect players to feel the same way they do. Fans expect players to love the team and hate their rivals as fiercely as fans. Often (mainly in pro sports) that isn't the case. College I think it's actually more often the case than not but still not always. So I get the reaction. I mostly think those reactions to just a transfer are stupid. But in this case it's not just that it's how he viewers the most loved player in our schools history and how little he did to help his team. It's super off putting even with the awareness that fans are irrational. The transfer itself is whatever (even though the job.would be easily his) but the story around it paints him as a huge bitch.
am i the only one that facepalms when i see a ucf fan tweeting about a ucf vs. florida bowl projection. its never gonna happen, why bother...
No, we’d get skullfucked this season by them. They’re not even a good team this year and we are still worse.
Was he as shitty before losing his job or just after? I have no idea. In his slight slight defense everyone around him already awarded him the heisman before this season. So I could see someone shutting down
I like his size and he plows through guys. He has that 2nd gear speed as well. He runs like 24K where he is deceptively fast because that huge stride.
I like watching these big programs having the tables turned on them and having their coaches sniped. I also will never convince myself a coach is staying at ucf ever again.
I guess we have some hardcore delusional fans. How can anyone watch our offense the last month and say ‘sign me up for a marquee Bowl matchup!’. I just want us to close out this good recruiting class
If someone ever says they only want someone who says UCF is a destination job you have my permission to karate chop them in the throat
considering the whole florida vs. ucf peach bowl matchup thing some years back and how that was shut down, i don't think we'll ever see florida in a bowl unless we're in big xii at that point. i don't think florida would ever allow it.

any decent articles out there yet about this? haven't seen a main news source with it. i know it's real, but would like more info on what happened and seems like mainly just tweets talking about it.
yeah kinda what i mean though, not a lot of info in that. wondering how people are getting the "otis sr. arrested this AM" and all the other more detailed info on it.
oh I know. RTs dont have anything to do with trending. Was more just making a comment that he's RTing a ton of it
rumor at the moment is alcohol might have been involved and that his dad threatened to shoot his mom and Otis stepped in to intervene. No idea how credible this exact scenario is but certainly sucks regardless and a life lost to soon!
His mom was in our section for that and went full on sprinting down and up the stairs yelling “that’s my baby!” When that happened
Rivals has the police report. His girlfriend's dog bit his drunk dad. They got in a verbal altercation over it. Dad went to the garage and came back and shot him in the chest. Mom had graze wounds but was released from the hospital. Saddened by the whole thing. He and his mom were always amazingly kind and interactive with fans in person. Their personalities were a big part of how much fun that stretch was for all of us.
Need a dislike button on here. This is awful. I can't imagine what she is going through after losing her dad and now her son within a short amount of time. Reading the police report makes it seem like this wasn't the first time Otis Jr. and Sr. got into it.
