the thing about Texas is it doesn’t matter about $ and they’ll just keep doing it until they find a coach that doesn’t suck. Shit, might be down to a 2 year window for each coach now before they get fired. OU fans are expecting the next Stoops/Riley because they don’t understand how this works and are spoiled as fuck. They’re used to 10 win + seasons every year for the last 20 years so the first time the new coach has a bad season they’ll freak the fuck out
Shit I always forget that they are And yes in state school Auburn GA makes sense to move to the East.
I feel like that would be an awful job for Lanning as his first Expectations are entirely too high there and he won’t have any real leeway
i do too but ou fans are used to hating venables lanning would get shit his first loss and never recover if they have one bad season
Brady was already getting nfl HC attention last off-season. Going to doubt he wants to be a college OC again. having said that, Panthers offense certainly has taken a step back this year. You can blame personnel, but Brady and Rhule both played a big part in acquiring Darnold, having PJ Walker as backup QB, etc.
I think he needs like 5 more years. He is the age of most the posters on this board. He's gotten a ton of help from Muschamp this year too. And obviously Kirby has taught him defense. But about 5 more years learning program building, booster culture, etc.
I agree that’s why i hope they hire him dude can go coach for saban or Kirby again when he gets fired
pretty mild take actually if you hire venables you lose your entire offense and now you have a coach that’s never been a hc before with an awful offense with a fan base that has ridiculous expectations what could go wrong
i couldn’t tell that you were being sarcastic I’ve read a lot of stupid shit from ou fans the past few days
Non-TMB Clemson fans freaking out at this level says a lot about their faith in Dabo. Is he not trusted to make a good hire of Venables leaves?
feel like lane will have been the hc at no less than 10 schools by the time he retires unless he goes to Miami or somewhere like UCLA and kills it and just chills
Many people are saying Dan Mullen is a natural fit for OU and he learned his lesson from his mistakes at Florida.
He didnt make the hires last time AD told him to go play golf with the bowden sons while he and Brad Scott handled the coordinators
is there any chance Stoops takes the gig full time? at least for a year to let the dust settle a bit?
i'm sure dabo will make a fine hire, but ultimately us clemson TMB posters have faith that if BV leaves then at least we have tony elliott to carry the team while the new defensive coach accustoms himself to everything so all is not lost
