I guarantee jmc8390 was speculating after the MSU win whether Ohio State ever would lose again and how soon Day might pass Saban as the most respected coach in football. Probably made a few drop 100 on Michigan posts that week.
Not to pat ourselves on the back too much, but it is kind of remarkable how much dumber every message board seems compared to this one when it comes to CFB, at least. I browse the UM 247 board from time to time and it's incredible how dumb people are when 50 other posters from across the country aren't allowed to bully people into shutting up when they say stupid shit.
I thought I had conditioned myself to the realization that the 247/Rivals/etc message boards were full of stupidity....but, I can't even say that I was ready for the posts that have been shown in the Lincoln Riley to USC thread from Oklahoma boards. Sooner message boards appear to be at an entirely different level of crazy.
The guy who runs the boardgeniuses twitter account gave an interview with TheAthletic a couple weeks ago and listed Oklahoma as one of the craziest fanbases so their reactions shouldn't be too much of a surprise. Here's his full list. Texas A&M LSU Clemson Nebraska Miami Florida State Oklahoma Texas
SEC was clearly worried about slipping behind the ACC in crazy, so they panicked and took OK and TX in.
luke Fickell might be the only OSU coach with a worse record against Michigan than Ryan Day. It’s fine.
The key here is that no one is trying to sell subscriptions and pump this board full of sunshine with pro-my-favorite-team articles for each fan base.
But buckwild is still trying to tell us Jeff Okudah is a good football player. Am I right Vinegar Strokes?
Yes, we weren’t comfortable that the current staff could recruit 16-17 year old defensive players, so we’re trying to make the staff older and whiter.
I hope so, if only for the purposes of annoyingly singing “YOU, YOU, YOU OUTTA KNOWLES” at my disgusted family after the defense makes a big play.
Okudah sucks ass. Easy to look good when you were going up again the shit QBs the B1G had at the time. Didn’t he get exposed in the bowl game against a decent QB?
No, he was very good against Clemson. Don't blame this young man for being ruined by your loser organization
When the Lions draft a great player, they definitely ruin him. Every time. But that takes years. They have an equally illustrious record of drafting complete fucking busts. I'm afraid this falls into the latter category.
Yeah I mean I haven't really watched him at all, but I don't think any of us ever saw him being a bust. Had everything you'd want physically, very productive the one year he started, great kid by all accounts. Very strange
Seems like it had been trending this direction in recent days, but Crab announced he is returning for next season:
Zach Annexstad (currently in the transfer portal) beat him out as a freshman then lost his job when he got hurt. Annexstad suffered a season ending injury the next August and Morgan never looked back. Before that was walk-on Connor Rhoda. He had been planning to transfer to D3 and was convinced to stay when Fleck was hired. It wasn’t very memorable.
