Some lady got eaten by a pack of them like a year ago. Got out of her car and was walking into her in home patient’s house and a pack ran up on her and ate her. Fucking metal

These things are so fucking nasty and destructive. There are at least 250 on some land i have. And no matter how many you kill they seem to double each year.
This is why that "feral hogs" meme was so dumb a few years ago. Does it warrant an AR-15? Of course not. But, it's also a very real thing that happens in a lot of of the country.
A buddy of mine set traps and got a few. One of them died in the cage and the others ate it. Just nasty animals
Here, the state department of conservation will help you trap them. We killed 90 in three weeks with a couple of these:
2 months after we moved into our new house... Spoiler And our yard wasn't near as bad as some of our neighbors. Bert is the worst
The meat quality is largely dependent on what they're eating. I've processed some that I've shot, but not the ones we trapped. There were just too many. The state biologist took some of them and buried the rest. I assume they do some kind of research.
Eh, it largely depends. If it's an old boar who lives exclusively in a swamp eating carrion, then it'll taste like that. But, sows who eat from planted foodplots, acorns, and feeders taste as good as any "free range" pork. They're really good.
Walking up on a group of hogs in the woods is terrifying. If they’re upwind, you can literally walk right on top of them.
IF trapped feed them deer corn for a week or so and taste fine. They are tough as fuck to clean but I at least try and get some meat off any I shoot
Just chiming in that feral sows that eat primarily from planted agriculture and foraging can be very delicious. Have never eaten a boar myself.
