Let's get this silly season started with Mr. Decalon Brooks, who was the sole owner of one (1) tackle this season for our worst position group
Corum would be dumb to come back. Draft prep isn't as important as it used to be. Players that get hurt still get drafted high, putting another 250+ carries on your body for a million dollars in NIL isn't smart.
Yeah RB is the dumbest position to come back. You have such a small window. Limit your mileage and increase your chances for a second contract.
He's a starting level running back in the NFL and he'll make more than that next year even as a second or third round pick.
Kid comin off a busted knee who played college ball in a shit conference is more the enough ammo for any team to start cheap Nobody is paying him starter money with a 3rd round pick
Rookies in the NFL are paid on a scale, there's not very much negotiation in their rookie contracts. Even at "cheap" he's going to make more than 1M a year and he'll be one year closer to his second contract where he will make the most money of his career. Corum has very little to gain by going back to college for another year, his stock isn't going to go up much higher and the downside is you get hurt again and you have to wait another year to get to that second contract.
I don't think Michigan is gonna have any trouble matching the money, may even be going over what that sliding scale says I know the line of thinking on RBs is clock is running as soon as they take that 1st carry but that was also before schools started throwing out pro contract money per year. Get paid, get healthy, let Edwards carry a little more of the load, take both knees to draft party shit ain't dumb it's just different
