At the end of the day it’s doesn’t really matter because City is unstoppable… but I would like to not look like shit
If you had asked me if I would take a point before the game…no doubt. But how we gave up the goals and played those last 15 minutes of first half is frustrating.
The Athletic is now saying we have formally requested that the match be postponed, but there was no information about additional positive tests.
I actually think it would be hilarious if we had to play Milner in goal. This cup is pointless any way.
Liverpool have been told they must play their FA Cup match against Shrewsbury Town at Anfield on Sunday, according to reports. The news comes a day after the EFL confirmed that Liverpool’s semi-final clash with Arsenal - originally scheduled for Thursday - had been postponed following a covid outbreak at the club. Liverpool’s training ground has been closed since Tuesday after assistant boss Pep Lijnders, as well as other players and members of staff, returned suspected positive tests. However, despite the clash with Arsenal being moved, it has been claimed that all 20 Premier League clubs have been told by the FA that they must play their third round ties this weekend. According to a report by the Daily Mail , the FA will not apply any experience criteria to young players, meaning that teams will be forced to field youth teams if required. In the Premier League, a match can be postponed if a club does not have 13 outfield players and a goalkeeper available, either from their first team squad or ‘appropriately experienced’ u21 players who have previously been involved in a senior matchday squad this season. Those rules have reportedly been scrapped for the FA Cup, however, with clubs merely required to name 14 registered players on their books. Though any young player used in the competition this weekend will allegedly be exempt from being considered as ‘appropriately experienced’ by the Premier League. “Clubs competing in the 2021/22 Emirates FA Cup are expected to participate in fixtures as they are currently scheduled,” an FA spokesperson is quoted as saying in the report. “However, if a club does not have the sufficient number of eligible players available due to COVID-19, this should be reported to The FA at the earliest opportunity and would be referred to the Professional Game Board for consideration.” Liverpool are not the only club battling a covid outbreak. It has been reported that Manchester City have 14 backroom staff, including Pep Guardiola, and seven players isolating ahead of their game against Swindon Town.
He is good enough to where I believe that Liverpool are interested in him but at no where near that number.
