I'm always eager to pounce on any signs that our dumb generation is ready to cut the hyper-ironic bullshit and get real about what's actually got value. Guy Fieri is sorta emblematic of that cultural tide for me. Him and Sammy Hagar, two dudes who might actually be the same dude, that I hated when I was an edgy know-it-all 23 year old asshat. Thankfully, I got wise. DDD is my favorite show, Standing Hampton/VOA are prolly the two 'bums I listen to more than any others. They deserve their empires.
