Hi yes I have a follow up question I dont want to look into myself. Is there a rhyme reason to it? For example, does the entire AFC East have 8 home games next year?
There is no way San Fran is winning the Super Bowl with Jimmy G at quarterback Pick is gonna be shitty, but we were probably getting a fifth string corner with it anyways
Breer: The Dolphins’ process should accelerate in the coming days. My feeling is that a significant part of it will ride on how the dominoes fall. Quinn remains the big domino. Again, he’s scheduled to be in Jersey Monday, and it certainly stands to reason that could push the Broncos to move their process along. If Denver were to take Quinn off the market, that could create some tension on Daboll—I’m told he interviewed well with the Dolphins, and his background with the organization, having been there in 2011, helps his cause. If the Giants try to close on Daboll? Then, Miami could turn to its ex-defensive coordinator (and current Cardinals DC) Vance Joseph, another candidate who’s positioned well with Miami wrapping up its initial set of head coaching interviews. One big thing for the Dolphins has been finding a way to bring the building back together, after the strife the football operation endured through 2021. And while it’s been stressed to me that Miami hasn’t made any decisions yet, and remains focused on wrapping up the first phase of interviews, the standing relationships that Joseph and Daboll (and remember, Daboll has one with Tua Tagovailoa, too) had coming in appear to be relevant now.
He was a fucking mess as HC of the Broncos. That's a really underwhelming hire, but the Dolphins haven't made a good hire in the front office in 20 years so why am I surprised?
yeah I don't see how that is an upgrade from Flores in any way I don't understand how a HC would choose NYG and that roster over Miami either...
it would make sense in the aspect of him and Grier having worked together already and being able to work together, which appears now to be what ended Flores’ tenure
would imagine it would mainly be the comfort level daboll has with the new GM they just hired from Buffalo
The issue is that anyone with half a brain realizes that Grier is finally on his 9th live so if it doesn't turn around quick, Grier is gone and the new GM is going to want to pick his own coach. Also, Giants are probably ready to move on from Daniel Jones which gives more of a clean slate than the Fins and Tua.
They've also fired, what, 3 coaches in a row after only 2 seasons? You have zero QBs, in a bad QB draft, and an awful roster. I think there are better jobs than Miami, just that the NYG aren't one of them. We also still have a lot of draft picks.
In a vacuum, this should be one of the best jobs on the market. But the continual disfuntion in the front office and the fact that Grier is almost certainly on the hot seat, brings this job down quite a few pegs.
On paper no doubt but we really don’t have any idea the relationship currently built between daboll and that new GM for the giants, for all we know they are very close, love working together and that tips the scales in their favor
Vance Joseph would be such a bad fucking hire. I’d rather have Bowles honestly. Here’s hoping it’s Daboll or McDaniel
It would be hard for me to get excited about Dan Quinn, but I'm sure I'll find a way. "Well he looked somewhat competent like, six years ago!"
Honestly, give me whoever brings Rodgers with him. Yea, I know he is a weirdo, but the guy is still elite
