I have been starting with words that have 3 different vowels in them and have found that helpful. Never even thought of a 4 vowel word.
I try to get 2 vowels and 3 common consonants in the first row. And try to change it up every time at the off chance I can get a hole in one.
So many more consonants though. If you focus on the vowels, you’ll be surprised how quickly your choices narrow.
That isn’t a problem. I learned a lot about the final word by starting with HOUSE today - even though there were no matches. Second word I chose was TRAIN since I needed to know which vowel(s) were in the final word. That really narrowed things down even farther and suggested a word with I in the third letter spot as the only vowel. I went with PRICK and after that CRIMP was the only choice that worked with what my earlier guesses had taught me. The grey letters are just as useful as the yellow and green. (Maybe more useful than yellow?) 4 is where good solid work lands you, I think. Less than that means you got lucky on your first guess. More than that is likely due to it being a rhyming word with lots of possible choices for one remaining letter. Or it being a double vowel word.
I'm sure someone will get this in 3, but this was one of the hardest I've done. https://hellowordl.net/?challenge=b2RkbHk
Spoiler IMBUE ROAST Those narrowed down things quite a bit and suggested a Y was involved, so the next guess was PHONY and then after that, the only word I could think of that used the remaining letters and didn’t have an O in either the second or third spot (or both actually) was ODDLY
Tough to do in 3 unless you have a good 1st guess. Spoiler Did these yesterday. Not easy. #1 https://hellowordl.net/?challenge=bW9tbXk #2 https://hellowordl.net/?challenge=cGxhemE
I think it really is just a word commonly known by the crimping iron and the electrician tool. So if you didnt know the word it simply means you are a virgin who can’t take care of your own house.
Holy fuck this one was hard for me. Thought I was done for sure Spoiler stare pound bingo colon onset knoll
