Yeah I threw my axe into the void and just used fists and the shield. No boi, I was trying to not use my revive stone either but choked at the end. Took about 150 tries to finally win. Spoiler No lie this video is the perfect way to learn how to avoid and counter each of her attacks
Yeah when I fought her the sane way I got her down to 3/4s health before she killed me on first try, so my insane brain decided I need to spice up the boss battle a bit.
I got her half way down the first time and haven't come close to even that since. I'm now running around trying to 100% all the regions.
I finished the main journey. That ending man. Took me a minute to realize what I was seeing. All those dead giants. Sad stuff. Still can’t beat the queen. I’ve got a few side things to finish that are a pain in the ass. Loved the game overall and want the sequel.
The random unblockable right wing jab that isn't preceded by a dash to the right. Also have you done the fight on NG+ GMGoW yet? all the valks have new moves.
The random right jab for sure gets me. My timing is just way off. I'm hitting dodge too early for some of the sky dive down attacks and she manages to get me. My blocking skills are piss poor. I almost always hit it too early or late and she fucks me up on the yellow circle attacks. Any certain armor or build you think is best? I switch to the squirrel runic to see if that will give me more health but doesn't seem to help that much yet.
Does anyone have tips for beating the defeat 100 enemies Muspelheim challenge on GMGOW+? Do you just go full Zeus armor and try to dodge attacks? Any recommended loadouts? The last to do I have in the game is GMGOW+ Sigrun and I can't even reach Gondul lol
i've spent the last 4 hours trying to beat that bitch. wtf is with this extreme ramp up in difficulty. i'm giving up, screw sigrun.
She does every single attack the other valkyries do, and there are a few attacks that look similar when they start. Takes quite a while to memorize how to counter each one, but once you do then it's easier. Not easy, but manageable Here's my first time beating her. A little too close.
It took my probably 20-25 attempts to get the pattern down where I could beat her. And even then it was super close. Make sure you have one of those stones that allows you to revive once.
yeah res is a must. i got her down to 2 notches left at best last night. i've beaten dark souls 1 and 3... i'll figure the pattern stuff out, but man its frustrating since some of those moves seem impossible to dodge or block and do massive damage.
I don't want to talk specifics, in case you don't want to be spoiled on anything. I will say that sometimes seeing the attack coming is no bueno.
If you really want to piss yourself off watch some of those fuckers beat her on GMGOW difficulty while not taking a single hit. Fuck those guys.
My experience is if I'm being revived I'm probably gonna die very soon again. I've only fought Sigrun in GMGoW difficulty and its one of those where if I get hit once I immediately tilt and make even more mistakes immediately. Not taking a single hit is honestly kind of how the fight is "suppose" to be beaten in GMGoW, a lot of her attacks hit hard enough to 1 shot you.
That’s be sweet but we just got the MK movie and this sounds like a “new” game movie. HHH should be Kahn with the hammer tho
I really don't want a GoW movie because they would probably ruin it. But if they did make it I don't think Rock would be a very good Kratos.
Agreed. A bald Jasón Mamoa would be better but still not even in the realm of what I would want for that role. Better they just don’t touch it.
Would be awesome, but with all the fantasy elements in the game, I think it would be much better if it was animated like Castlevania. 2018 GoW better lends itself to live action I would think.
All of this is true, but given Hollywood's insatiable desire to make things that have already been made, I figure it is inevitable.
CGI technology has advanced enough to the point where I truly believe that video games done right is a better story telling medium than movies. The dialogue choice/gameplay elements aside, there's just a different level of sophistication that voice acting brings where pure acting can't reach. Cast The Rock or Bautisa because they look like Kratos? sure, but their actual acting chops or emotional portrayal are likely not going to be up to par. But put a CGI/mocap realistic looking Kratos and pair it with Christopher Judge? Masterpiece. Very rarely do you get a *perfect* acting cast where an actor looks like a character and also fits their personality profile AND can act, you can do that in traditional movies where the audience doesn't have a preconceived idea of how the character is suppose to look, but for a video game or comic book movie, its not like you can just throw 65 year old Tom Hanks in there for his acting ability and expect the audience to buy he's Peter Parker.
