Sign a huge deal with Reebok, give fighters $5,000. I was friends with some cup of coffee ufc fighters and they said they more than doubled what they made because of what they more to the rink g
It's a shit card, but if there's interest I'll have a write up for tomorrow if anybody wants one. I'll have the time. Let me know.
I’m in Chapel Hill for the day to see some of my wife’s friends. Going to overdrink and watch fights no matter where we are. They can deal with it.
I like Alvarez a lot as a dog. He's a finisher. A little skiddish on Martinez. I was so high on that guy, and then he gets knocked out by Davey Grant?? Guy has been fighting since 2008 and has two other knockouts. That was concerning. Perez isn't really known for his power, so maybe it doesn't happen again tonight. But man once your chin is cracked by somebody like that, it's likely to get cracked again. I'm still working on my sheet, so I'm not sure I'll be on him or not, but I would like to be.
Weird card. Lots of unknown names, so a lot of my shit comes from research, not actually seeing their fights. Altamirano/Hernandez I have zero idea about. Altamirano is 4th on the card in takedowns/minute, but there's been big line movement (2nd best) towards Hernandez. Very likely to go to decision. With only 11 fights and the prices being 8k for Altamirino and 8.2k for Hernandez, I'd probably just split them evenly on your DK lineups. 3rd and 6th in significant strikes per minute, so it should be a high paced fight. 6 of their last 10 combined fights have went to decision, so I'd expect that here unless somebody gets caught in some type of sub. Gilmore is physically impressive, I was surprised to see he's 6-4 and one of the biggest dogs on the card. Brahimaj has two first round finishes in his last four fights, and Gilmore was finished in 2 of his last 5. I'm trying to find a way to fade Brahimaj but I don't think I will. More on that later. 3rd highest odds to not go the distance, so if Gilmore catches him at 6.9k you'll absolutely have to roster him. Line movement 5th best in Gilmore's direction. I'll likely have a 80/20 split towards Brahimaj when constructing lineups. Gilmore is susceptible to subs, so if I'm calling the finish I'll say Brahimaj by sub in the first round. Martinez seems overpriced at 8.8k. I think he'll win the fight, but I'm not so sure he can finish him. At that price, and lack of takedowns in a fight likely to go decision, I don't think I'll have any exposure to this fight. I think I predicted an early finish for McKinney in here on his UFC debut, and boy did he deliver. Remember he tore his knee up celebrating after a one hitter quitter. Give me McKinney as a dog here all day. 4 straight first round finishes and he's 7.8k. If he does that again, he'll be on the optimal. This Nunes bitch isn't one to be fucked with. 5 straight ITD finishes, and I think the girl she's fighting is a can they brought in as a late replacement. Probably my highest exposure on the card, love her to get an early finish. Think I'm taking a chance with Zhu at 7.2k. He's a takedown machine and has finished 4 of his last 5 fights. This one is super risky because Bahamondes is talented. Lots of kicks that could connect and bust our lineups, but you have to go for it to win one of these big GPPs. Rodrigues/Petrosyan is the most likely fight to not go the distance. Probably another 80/20 split here, need some insurance on Petrosyan at 7.5k in case he gets the early finish. Alvarez being such a big dog is strange to me. Tsarukyan last 5 fights: first round win, 3 wins by decision, and got finished in the 3rd round. Doesn't scream favorite versus a guy who has 3 first round finishes and a 2nd round finish his last 4 fights. Is this a trap? Maybe but one I'm willing to walk right into. Also, with an 11 fight card, a good practice is to leave a lot of salary on the table so you're less likely to get duped. Rostering Zhu and Alvarez and leaving $1k or so would ensure a unique lineup and something I'll be doing with quite a bit of mine. Probably dog or pass for me with Cachoeira vs Kim. Cachoeira is a wild woman, she'll eat 5 punches to get one off. She's a fucking zombie. She was finished by Gillian Robertson in the first round her last fight, but had two finishes before that. I'll try to find a way to not play either. Cirkunov knows he's on the chopping block after losing 3 of his last 4. Turman is a good matchup for him. I think we see lots of takedowns and hopefully some type of choke in the early rounds. Man I want to take Bobby Green. Fading Islam has not been profitable for me. There's no way Islam gambles his position in the division by trying to stay standing with Bobby. After the Iaquinta fight, Bobby was on one of those grappling cards on UFC fight pass. He lost to a knee bar in a minute. I think the same thing happens here. We have enough dogs on the card to construct proper lineups. I might have a couple of lineups where I pair up Green/Zhu/Alvarez to get very unique. I'll be back with exposures in a few minutes, finishing the lineups now.
I went with Islam by sub and Islam to win by sub in 2nd round. I really want to put some on a first round sub as well as i think that’s quite likely.
That makes all the sense in the world. He's not gonna play with his food. Bobby doesn't really have knockout power so Islam will likely shoot for takedowns early and finish him.
Put a parlay together, went with Brahimaj ITD, Bahamondes ITD, Makhachev ITD, Tsarurkan to win, and Mckinney to win at +1535
Watching Colby/Okamoto interview. Trump going to have a bad night Saturday either way with is two BFF's fighting each other.
I’d imagine they have to get some type of waiver to let him fight so close together with the Vegas commission.
The only reason that fight is good is because of the story lines. Colby is a level above Masvidal as a fighter
That's how Im expecting it to go. I just hope we get to see them trade on the feet some before Colby takes him down. I was watching the Masvidal/Diaz fight on youtube the other day, and Jorge's striking is so fun to watch when he's flowing. I don't think Colby even gives him the chance to though. It's been awhile since ATT has won a big fight that I can remember
I think it’ll stay on the feet if and until Masvidal starts touching Colby. If/when that happens, Colby going to wrestle it up until Jorge gets tired imo. Could be from watching embedded and all other content around the fight today but seems like all the pressure is on Jorge. Colby looks like he’s having a blast. Jorge looks all business.
