the University of Alabama had a travel program to Cuba during the embargo so that’s the more natural fit
‼ Russia is preparing a deliberate provocation to justify the introduction of Belarusian troops According to available intelligence, there are now about 300 Belarusian tanks near the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. ❗️ MAXIMUM DISTRIBUTION ❗️ The convoy has not yet crossed the border and is waiting on the route Pinsk - Ivanovo - Drahichyn (approximately 30 km from the State Border of Ukraine). Russia is expected to carry out a deliberate provocation to justify the planned attack by Belarusian troops. ❗️ MAXIMUM DISTRIBUTION ❗️
Probably safe to argue that Putin and the very top of his inner circle knew how deeply unpopular this was going to be and decided not to communicate the real mission down the ranks to the troops being sent in. Could never properly prepare logistically when 95% of the force being used had no fuckin clue where they were going or what they were supposed to do. Makes him even more of a monster. Just lobbing Russian troops at country of pissed off people to die.
Are you sure you want to do that? “New research has found that Alabama has more plant and animal species, both living and dead, than any other state in the nation.” https://rss.alabamanewscenter.com/2...alabama-most-biodiverse-state-in-the-country/
ATTENTION ‼️ Getting into the hardware of the broadcaster on the TV tower. For a while, the channels will not work. In the near future, the backup broadcast of some channels will be included. The enemy can spread fakes in order to destabilize the situation. You know, Ukraine is fighting and enduring! #stoprussia Looks like they’re already starting to work on the tower. At least one shot was not a direct hit. Not sure about the smoke already there in that video.
The Washington Post is reporting that Biden will propose a $6.4 billion economic and military aid package. Will be interesting to see the GOP response.
either way I still don’t understand why Putin would make this move now, the US is on the verge of destabilizing and he’s given Biden so many opportunities to prove he’s the right man for the job and to work across the aisle
I mean in a couple of decades when the ice caps melt, Siberia is about to become the most important trade route and shipping ports in the world.
This is the best thing I read ITT for a few days. My best guess is that Putin is just completely delusional and higher ranking officials knew they were getting slaughtered, which leads to the entire training exercise premise. They probably have saved many Russian soldier's lives in doing so. If Ukraine had a modern military this shit would have been over today. Also, I hate to see what other nearby countries give (or keep). These nations don't want to fight but at the same time they need protection if Russia comes their way. The entire world has lived vicariously through Ukraine for a week now, but the full burden is still on them to withstand the rest of the shit. Also I fucking laughed out load reading their communication methods. We could get this entire thread on a Zoom in like 10 minutes and they are using analog radios without encryption. Can't even call their support to ask for more gas in some cases.
I’m not posting the #content but there are a lot of tweets showing lots and lots of dead civilians near the tv tower
There are GOP voters who would vote for Hitler as long as he had an R next to his name on the ballot. Those people will never be helped. I still tend to believe there is a whole generation of Boomers who were conditioned from their childhood until the 1990’s to believe Russia was their enemy. Let the GOP explain why they aren’t.
From what I've seen, they may have been targeting the boxes and cabling at the base and surrounding the tower, not the actual tower itself. So tough to say for sure if targets were hit or not.
I'm sure they're probably trying to figure out if they can fly under the radar and do some mass killings of Palestinians while this is going on since everyone thinks anyone with brown skin that gets attacked by other nations are subhuman
We've seen other examples that the Russians aren't the most accurate people with missiles. I'm guessing them hitting Babi Yar was not on purpose as it goes against what they claim they're in Ukraine for.
