I prefer this/Ashley Burch extended story than trying to fit in a guest in 1 episode. Was always awkward to make it fit in the story, or else it was just a quick/fun pop in character - those are ok too.
Spurt #1. Was genius. Apparently he was just visiting/touring their studio since he was in town and Mercer was like, do you want to play as a kobold? And he improvised the rest
I was skeptical of him joining and honestly he was superb. Wonder if they’ll bring in pearl for a run
laudna, fearne, chetney, and fcg are great imogen is dull and forgettable ashton is just a reined in, annoying version of molly liam is so barely there i dont even remember his characters name but he's had a couple of funny moments. honestly im kind of impressed how much more forgettable he is than imogen
I’m curious who you think are the 3. For me it’s Laudna (All-Timer but below Jester and Grog), Chetney (S-tier) and Fearne (A-tier but so so so much better than the same character in EXU). but I agree there are a lot of forgettable characters. Honestly so far Imogen, Orym and Ashton are more supporting/side characters than main PCs, and aside from a couple of scenes/moments, FCG is pretty meh
It's the 3 you mentioned. Fearne is 3rd out of the 3, but she's great. Chetney and Laudna are absolutely elite level characters. Easily Marisha's best character ever
Having Laura be a neutered character is just bad production. She’s too talented to be in the background
fcg and laudna probably have the most depth as characters. i am enjoying that matt keeps referring to laura as laudna. i wonder how intentional that troll was.
I appreciate Orym because you need characters in a party this size that really don't want or need much spotlight. He will have a moment or an arc at some point where they explore what he wants.
i was so happy someone recommended it to me. It was so much different than every other campaign I ever listened to. It was the perfect mix of absolute hilarity and tear jerking emotion. Taako is a jester, scanlan tier all time great character
With all of the moon focus in campaign 3 I almost wonder if Matt is going to adapt some Spelljammer stuff and have them go to the moon
Bunch of my friends are starting a campaign running Rime of the Frostmaiden, and the DM is throwing a hissy fit that no one will play a wizard
Ashley still doesn’t know how to play D&D. Ashley took a level in Rogue presumably to steal better. She should really just randomly start taking levels in everything just for shits and giggles. chetney as a 1 level rogue is also hilarious but more fitting for him overall. Laudna as a SorLock has imbalanced potential for combat. Otherwise their combat proficiency is pretty weak. Imogen does good CC but relying on witch bolt is just horrendous. great episode all in all, loved chetney at the beginning and Laudna/imogen at the end.
