Played Grand Cypress in Orlando today. Was a great track. It’s awesome to play a wide open links course. Only lost one ball all round. Almost every green is a dual green.
Friend of mine stayed over Augusta the other night. Played two rounds and one on the par 3. I hate him.
It’s a great rate right now if you can get to it. $130 is what we paid today while they’re doing the renovation on the property. Course was in great shape.
79/81. He’s a plus handicap who has qualified for USGA events. Said he lost a ton of shots around the greens. The false fronts/sides and short grass surrounds make chipping far more difficult than people realize.
Good: CEO wanted to bail on work and play golf today. Will be me, his son, and another guy who works for us Bad: They have fewer than 10 rounds played total between the three of them all on a local executive course. Track today is pretty tough
You get to be the alpha. This makes me curious. Have any of you deliberately let a boss/superior win at golf? I only had the chance once and I tried to play my best. I always thought that would impress more.
Nope. I also played golf with my boss weekly before he hired me though. Little different dynamic. We talk a lot of shit about golf and it’s great.
So nelly korda has a blood clot keeping her out of this week’s major. If you search her name on Twitter it’s like 95% anti vaxx propaganda.
Hell no. Who would do that? That's one of those things you only see people do in TV shows and movies.
I keep betting on Jordan thinking one of these weekends he will figure out the putter. I will go down with this ship.
Ended up just being the CEO and his son. Other guy had something come up. Gotta say, it was an absolutely great experience. They had positive attitudes, kept up, and hit some solid shots. The son has some potential if he keeps at it. Despite my rust, the driver was working. Bombing it off the tee can disguise a lot and make your game seem more impressive than it actually is. Was like +5 after 9. They had to bail at the turn, so I also got in a really pleasant solo back with no traffic in like 45 min. Best part was the CEO was like, “I really want to start playing more. We should do this every couple of weeks.” Sign me up my dude
Jay Seawell teaches Saban and plays with him on the side. He obviously has pretty good job security on his own, but he has joked that it makes him unfireable
Theyre the 2019s but in great shape. I paid a little more than that for them a few months ago, but they were honestly just a bit too hot for me. The C Taper is also a bit of unique shaft. Low launch, super stable, and kinda dampens impact. Honestly, I wouldn’t let you buy them without being familiar with it, because I think it’d be irresponsible on my part. But I haven’t listed them yet, so let me know if it’s a fit whenever. Always prefer my clubs find a good home over some random from CL
i'll go to my shop this weekend to see if they have those shafts to try out and let you know, thank you sir
I love KBS. finding the Vtour and then matching my wedges to the vwedge is amazing. Plus KBS customer service is pretty great.
Love those in the 110. Friend has them in some Callaway X Forged irons. So good. Also a big fan of the $ Taper 120. Haven’t tried their wedge shafts yet, but I would really like to I need all new clubs again
