Azov sucks, but the idea that they are somehow gaining more cultural power relative to the vast majority of the Ukrainian armed forces/Zelenskyy is weird. Why would the Azov battalion come out as greater “heroes” than anyone else?
I would, I spent 20 years in the military and couldn't name 1 person who was. I understand people don't go around advertising it, but I wouldn't guess it was as common as this thread makes it seem.
I can see a lot of the guys who make the military their whole personality getting radicalized after they leave the service
Wow, I’m active now and have been in for 18 years, 5 years ago I’d have probably agreed with you guys, but the past couple years have brought some things out of the shadows. Still probably not 2% but there’s more floating around than a lot of people would be comfortable with.
