I mean, I've lived in the desert most of my life and have been to probably 15 coachellas so I have a pretty good idea on the weather. High 90s and 100 of course can happen but its usually not consistently that hot. Regardless, hood b. goode you're probably going to sweat if you're in the sun in the middle of the day and it gets hotter if you're crammed into the Sahara tent with a bunch of people, but if you're in the shade it'll be fine and after sunset its nice. If you end up camping definitely bring some pop up shade for the middle of the day.
That's what's going around right now. Looks to be Billie and SHM and probably Kanye or RHCP. Maybe The Weekend.
Harry Styles is a very underwhelming addition to the headliners. Undercard, especially for electronic and dj/producers, is pretty stacked though.
Stacked for other genres as well. This is the best undercard, IMO, since 2013. I don’t really care to see any of the headliners.
I was excited for one more run on the fields but will wait to see if RATM/Frank headline 2023 I guess. The lineup seems exciting for people that like electronic / hip hop / pop but there’s essentially no rock on the second line. Not sure how I justify a 4-figure weekend when the biggest name I actually listen to is King Gizz even if the mid card looks solid
Sunday might be the best rap/hip hop day in Coachella history Kanye RTJ Denzel Curry Vince Staples JID Dave (fucking incredibly talented human) Doja Cat Ari Lennox All on the first three lines
I IDLES should be on the second line, but I do wish there was a little more rock. Rage and Fontaines DC would have gone a long way towards fixing that. They did add Wallows though.
The gf and about a dozen other friends are going weekend 2. May try to snag a ticket. Never been before.
Yeah, losing Rage, Thom Yorke, and Fontaines from an already pretty weak 2020 rock lineup is pretty brutal for me personally unfortunately. I think I'm just not the target demo anymore.
I told hood b. goode to go ahead and book his Bonnaroo trip when I saw Harry Styles. But then I quickly realized the whole card probably made him nut. So I backpedaled.
Super curious how Fred Again is live. His first two albums are great. Ye, lane 8, Vince Staples, Hot Chip, Flume, Bishop Briggs and a few others catch my eye.
The ticket release back in January sold out immediately. Almost a blessing in disguise as I just snagged one for $300 yesterday. First camping festival in five years. Hope some of the Coachella vets im going with will help lead the way. Pumped.
