Man. The internet just destroys people.

 

Does anyone here deliver or know someone who delivers for UPS/FedEx/Amazon? Just curious how it works. Are they given a route with packages, and when it’s done, they’re done? If they finish early, do they get paid the same and can stop for the day? The reason I ask is I see lots of different delivery people since I work from home. Some will run the packages up to the door, while others take their sweet ass time. I assume there’s gotta be an incentive to get it done faster, no?

All I know is those guys are working their asses off every day, 7 days a week I see atleast the fed ex and Amazon guy.
I've always heard they are paid well. But work all the time.
I've seen em in my neighborhood after dark some days and we are at a minimum an hour and a half from any amazon or FedEx warehouse/ distribution center

 

FedEx sucks fucking ass here. They’re always a day later than what they originally say. And that day always seems to be a Friday for me so I don’t end up getting my package until Monday which is a pain in the ass because I leave every Monday for work travel

Am currently experience that situation for the 3rd package in a row from them

 

Buddy of mine ordered a putter with two day shipping on a Wednesday morning…didn’t get it until the following Wednesday and a couple of days according to the tracking this package was going back and forth between Council bluffs and Kansas City.

 

Mine has been out for delivery 3 days in a row

I’ve done Amazon flex, which is pretty much like doordash, except regular people deliver Amazon instead of food. You signed up for a time slot of 1-4 hours and are given a batch of deliveries based on the time. I think it was 17.50 per estimated hour. So if you picked 4 hours you’d be given a load of like 120 stops worth of packages and away you went. I’d generally finish in 1/2-2/3 the time estimate. As I understand the Amazon vans are fleets owned by independent contractors and Amazon assigns/pays them in the same general way, but on a larger scale. I assume the companies pay their drivers hourly.
I was told that each day they assign out the contractors first, then post availability to the flex app for randos to finish up any remaining.

1. I don't really want more birds hanging out around my house.

2. I've made it this far in live without trading with birds, so why start now?

3. Can you imagine how dirty money is that's been handled by birds?

4. I bet they don't just quietly go away whenever you decide to stop.
