The saintly, omnipotent Founding Fathers started out with 65 members of the House and at some point the government decided on an arbitrary number regardless of expansion of states and population. I find it rather shocking that so few people have lifetime appointments and basically zero accountability to anyone. Having at least a larger sample size would make the whole idea a little bit less shitty.
Wonder how these right wing assholes would react toward protestors if a left leaning SCOTUS majority leaked a bill banning all guns. I think we know
Might want to include a clause that if the app were to malfunction, Mayor Pete gets to proclaim victory because that is an established feature of our great republic.
Not SCOTUS but the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals not knowing that Twitter is a website, just to further the fact that most of these judges are just lazy politicians.
some states are radical for a 15 week limit on abortions matty is trying to gather support for a 13 week limit
Roberts rejected compromise was 15 weeks. Matty just sees that as a negotiating tactic. He knows how to play hardball - give ‘em another 2 weeks.
So Ginni Thomas - insurrectionist Ginni Thomas - gets protection from a government she attempted to overthrow? What kind of dumbass country is this?
Protesting in front of justices homes will not make any difference at all, but personally, I relish the idea of making these losers uncomfortable so have at it.
If they don’t like the consequences of enacting their hateful ideology that threatens millions of Americans, they’re welcome to quit.
This reminds me of when I’m watching as soccer game and the announcer says something that makes no fucking sense and I ask myself if anyone actually agrees with them.
I've got to limit myself to reading no more than 1/2 page at a time in this thread. It's not good for my mental health.
(Thread) A one time GF passionately schooled me on the "rule of thumb" at one point. Oooof. Alito is unworthy of oxygen Edit - pretty sure at least parts of this were already posted. Oh well
This isn't a new thing. My wife works for a big pharmacy in Texas. It's well known that certain pharmacists, in certain areas, will not fill these prescriptions. This has been going on since she started 10+ years ago. Her employer struggled with this same problem when the Covid vaccines came out, too. Rural areas kept having shipments go "missing" or they were "accidentally" left out of the freezer so they went bad and could not be used. Meanwhile, urban areas like hers were desperate to get any vaccine they could get their hands on because they kept running out. The point is fucking crazy people are everywhere, in every profession and somehow dictate how the majority of us live our lives.
ive tried to explain why “rule of thumb” is a fucked up idiom and shouldn’t use. I do have to say there is some debate on if it’s true.
