It was very hot today but that was awesome. Spent some time in the middle of the 10th fairway to start the day, then camped out at 15th tee, fairway at 5, and most of the afternoon in the bleachers at 17. Watched a couple groups tee off at 8 as well which seemed cruel— 251 yd par 3 into the wind

Pebble is never going to shut down long enough for a restoration unfortunately. They have a full tee sheet every day of the year.
I agree they’ll never do a full restoration, but they just reconstructed the 8th green in only a week or so (still on the temporary green but all the machinery/fencing is out of there). If they wanted to piece it together they easily could, but I bet they’ll never touch the 7th

Not sure how hot of a take this will be itt but... I've really done a 180 on Big Randy. He used to be one of my top 2...maybe 3 of the NLU guys in the first couple years I started following their content closely. But now that I'm 4 or 5 years into really taking in their content he really sucks. Easily my least favorite now, even behind Tron.
Yeah, Tron's schtick of always being the antagonist sucks but at least he's educated on his bs and not so flippant like Randy.
Tron is the same amount of educated, it's just a different bit. They both suck on the main feed, but Tron sucks on everything at all times and Randy is awesome on Strapped which is the best.
To clarify, I don't mean educated in the literal, like post grad degree sense. I mean it in the what their jobs are now sense. Tron actually knows golf and the PGA Tour. Randy doesn't give a shit and I guess doesn't pretend to. He's got the best/easiest gig and puts zero effort into actually ever coming up with a take that is well thought out or researched even a tiny bit. I agree Strapped is awesome and the best piece of content they consistently produce but it's not because of him imo.
Randy is supposed to be a bit. he's the high handicap. he has the most serious part of NLU actually as a company, he is the CFO and CPA for the team.
I know all that and it doesn't have anything to do with what my gripes are with him. Anyway, wasn't looking to get into an argument or anything about it. Just felt like sharing my after watching their live stream a little bit ago after the first round. He was awful on it in every way like usual so that's what prompted it. Jmo.
A big reason why I don't consume their podcasts anymore because it's too many dudes sitting around waiting to fire off takes so they better make them count. Randy is the worst at that.
Took more videos than pics, I’m unbelievably burnt to the point some random dude tapped me on the shoulder in the stands at 17 (best place to view imo and easy access to beer, food, and bathrooms). Awesome experience. Honestly the luxury boxes aren’t that great other than the food. Can’t see any of the on course action other than on TV’s. Those beer prices deserve heads to roll too, that’s beyond dumb.
