I was impressed how smooth it ran. We stopped in the 2 preshows but otherwise didn’t stop moving until we were on the ride. In the 2nd pre show my wife was asking how the hell they changed the whole room
X-men First Class had some elite Magneto scenes between the James Bond-esque opener in Argentina and him killing Shaw.
Season 1 of Punisher Season 1 was fun even though I wanted to fight Midane almost the whole season Season 2, yikes
The bar scene is so elite I wish this film just focused on Charles and Erik. It’s so close to being upper tier Marvel with the Holocaust opening, Argentina bar scene, Erik hunting Nazi war criminals. It’s damn good but if it did this, it would’ve been Logan good.
Fucking hell Feige. If you’re forcing me to jerk it to a beefy green chick you better make her as beefy as possible!!! (Explains the cgi being off, it’ll be fine for the actual show)
Take a moment and appreciate Russos saying Wanda could have merc’d Thanos in EG…and then Raimi proving it.
I’m sorry, but I just want more MoonKnight in my life. I don’t care if my feeling don’t fit in with your modern day “narratives” about life and happiness.
I was going to make a smart ass comment about also being sure I could look impressive in 5sec bursts but then she started with the parkour stuff.
Wonder if Knull is going to be introduced in the MCU especially now that Gorr the God Butcher most definitely has the necrosword in this. Knull would be an amazing villain to put on big screen
Also the trend continues with all these Marvel trailers having questionable CGI recently. Really hope they clean up a lot of these shows and movies up before release. Everything looks just a little wonky
Will wait to judge the Gorr costume in theater. I’m glad we can see Bale’s facial expressions, a bit too ‘Kree’s from AoS’ and not quite god butchery enough.
Some of the CGI stuff for this is probably because the locations aren't going to be what they are in the trailers. I can think of several iconic moments in the Ragnarok and Infinity War trailers that were completely different in the movies to throw people off.
Should I abstain from watching the trailer? Of course I'm going to watch the movie. Does it give away much of anything?
Spoilered for those avoiding the trailer but Taika posting screen shots of Twitter’s auto-generating subtitles not understanding non-American accents Spoiler
I read recently that a lot of CGI workshops are struggling due to workload in the pandemic. They're still playing catchup and the work is suffering until they do.
I have a relative that works in special effects production, and can confirm he's been working nonstop on one project or another for about 20 months now.
And keep in mind that, other than something catastrophically bad, movies don't get delayed because the CGI is bad. They have a deadline and they have to turn in their work, whether it's polished or not
