Dortmund or Fulham? Tough choice. You’d hate to be the player that made the wrong decision and missed out on his chance to be the next Ryan Sessegnon.
Give Benzema another year or two and bring in 'arry Kane as a short term replacement. Give the young Brazilian wingers a chance to grow.
at least the Club isn’t imploring the fanbase to upgrade to the Spotify family plan so they can afford to pay a 34 year old striker so I guess it could be worse
You think he's good enough to take enough playing time off Casemiro to play enough so he won't have his progression stunted?
The assumption would be that he is Ream’s replacement at starting CB but we are probably bringing in someone to at least compete at LB. Jedi has great speed but his crosses go nowhere. if we are able to work a deal for Neco he will probably split time between LB and RB and share time with both Jedi and Tete #warchest?
God no. Warchest would be an insulting lowball offer which would get declined publicly and then you convince the player to leave on a free the next summer.
Today? No, he certainly wouldn’t play over him in big matches but Real play 55-60 matches a year and there a ton of minutes to go around. It’s also very likely that at least one of Modric or Kroos (if not both) hang it up after next season. The other issue is Camavinga & his development. He’s slotted in to that role by default because there’s no natural replacement for Casemiro but it seems like his future is in a slightly more advanced/central role. Adding someone like Tchouameni would allow him to move to a spot better suited to his skill set.
meh people have been saying “in a year or two” since 2017. If his bullshit shuts the door forever so be it
I get that completely. I just don’t see him staying in Paris the rest of his life and expect another fiasco in a few years because he will still be in his prime.
I get that you’d want him signed ASAP but if he’s the guy Madrid want more for the future than now, I’d let him spend a couple years at a bigger club than Monaco that will be invested in developing him for a big pay day down the road. Madrid could bring in an older guy like de Roon from Atalanta to back up Casemiro for that interval period. I think Madrid have handled their depth and player expectations for playing time deftly this year and bringing in a young player with lofty expectations could upset that balance.
he’ll move elsewhere eventually and it’s a 1000% certainty that it’ll be a total clusterfuck whenever he does. If he had just chosen to renew and be done with it I would agree but the way it went down & everything he said & did feels like it was completely hollow and done in bad faith to leverage one side against each other. I wouldn’t blame the club for feeling mislead and refusing to negotiate in the future. Hopefully this fiasco gives everyone else pause whenever dealing with him & obviously the Qataris are not to be trusted whatsoever.
Super Club. Like, the season is an embarrassing failure without winning the league and at least one other trophy.
You’ve got to be a massive club if you play your home matches at a Stadio Olimpico. Hertha Berlin and Lazio are prime examples.
I wonder which manager is at the top of the new sporting director’s list. Mbappe is the new sporting director, right? Do they finally land Zidane?
DD would be a terrible fit and I think Zidane is holding out for the French NT job though blood money talks so who knows
his hairstyle choices lead me to believe that he might not be homophobic enough to fit in to that midfield
