Lol I think Vlad Jr just started to step out of the box to take off his protective equipment and walk down to first because he knew a pitch was ball four before it even got to the catcher
How is the runner on second to start in extra innings charged to the pitcher, that’s no different than a reliever inheriting a runner mid inning
Cronenworth must be struggling if the Padres are showing graphics saying he's got a 3-game hitting streak
If the last name isn’t machado, safe to assume they’re struggling at the plate. He’s been a great defensive player, so it’s ok. But we desperately need guys to get going offensively. Can get away with good pitching and defense against the braves, Phillies and giants. Not so much against the brewers, cardinals, Mets
Yeah it’s an unearned run if they score. The pitcher still takes the loss if they give up the winning run, but doesn’t affect era
Buehler has had more than 5 Ks in a start twice this year, 6 Ks May 8th and 10 Ks on April 25th. Otherwise it's been fewer Ks and more walks than you'd expect. Opponents have hit .277 against him in 5 starts this month... pretty rough considering the current offensive landscape. But he gets credited with lots of wins I guess
If it wasn’t for Cornelius this would be a strictly Yankees/dodgers fan post to jack off on to each other, so I appreciate him.
I don't think he even posts here unless someone (me) highlights something potentially negative about the Dodgers. Pretty defensive
Mariners being about on the same level as the A's is probably very upsetting to all the people not paying attention to the game in that beer garden the Seattle broadcast often cuts to
It was more of a credit to him. But take it how you want it. I follow a few other baseball pages and he does just as good of a job as anyone. but that’s also the media.
That's fair, I love what he brings to the thread too. The thread would be slower but it wouldn't be all Yankees and Dodgers. There's like 4 combined fans from those fanbases. We have a good mix here imo as long as the Braves stay in their thread.
You’re not wrong. I apologize for the miscommunication. Fact is I enjoy yankee greatness. Makes it better when we beat y’all. But that’s why they play the game.
Buehler's FB spin rate is 70th percentile after being 94th last year and 98th in 2020. Sheesh. Gotta be one of the pitchers most impacted by the sticky stuff crackdown. Fastballs were where he got hurt by opposing hitters in college
Oakland beat Seattle with Ray on the mound (10 SO/1 BB) to push the Mariners to the bottom of the AL West. Fire everyone for crying out loud
Dansby scores the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in B5 and then Riley homers to add some insurance right afterwards. Phillies pen is a disgrace
Not just any wild pitch; a wild pitch and throw down on a steal that got past the shortstop and second baseman, THEN got past the center fielder to let Dansby walk home Your classic E1-E2-E4-E6-E8 wild pitch
