https://www.flowrestling.org/video/...yKWsb3BXTsLvhf8iZCkt_J9s360cNoyz0d1JJkQqIAPDc I coach football at Alvernia, the wrestling program is awesome and this dude's story is incredible. I've only known him since I got to the school in August but life long fan. Coach Bellanca who he references in the interview is also a class act. Just thought it was worth sharing.
tons of smoke about class of 2023 #1 ranked recruit Cody Chittum decommitting from Minnesota. most likely landing spot is OSU apparently. where ever he goes, he's a mega recruit.
Anyone following the US open? Don't have FLO but trying to follow Marsteller and Matt Latchman from Alvernia. Would appreciate anyone keeping me up to date.
Easiest way to just check results is floarena. I’ll mainly be keeping up with VT affiliated guys. https://arena.flowrestling.org/event/5a268153-db2b-ae04-f8a1-1d710363288b
WAY too many top notch matches going on at once right now. We don't have any freestyle for 6 months, then we have like 8 matches I don't want to miss happening concurrently? Figure it out.
He's wrestling my guy Marsteller in the Semis! Alvernia's own! Chance is a beast. hope he can finish this thing off!
I imagine training with Mark Hall and JB has helped him quite a bit. Maybe a little awkward heading into trials if McFadden beats Cenzo!
Sitting in BO3 finals at JR WTT: UWW U20 Freestyle Champions 57 - Troy Spratley (Texas Pride WC) 61 - Nic Bouzakis (Pennsylvania) 65 - Vince Cornella (Spartan Combat RTC) 70 - Mitchell Mesenbrink (Askren Wrestling Academy) 74 - Alex Facundo (Nittany Lion WC) 79 - Luca Augustine (Pittsburgh WC) 89 - Samuel Fisher (Southeast RTC, Inc) 92 - Jaxon Smith (Dmv Rtc) 97 - Ben Kueter IA (Sebolt Wrestling Academy) 125 - Nicholas Feldman PA (Ohio RTC) Spratley teched robbie howard in the rd of 64, then won his next 5 matches to win the weight class. Robbie Howard then won 8 matches in a row to take 3rd...Who put those guys next to each other rd 1? Spratley should have been OW over Facundo.
Still no GGCD Zain beat JO 2 matches to 1 Gilman absolutely destroyed Vito in 2 matches Nittany lion kyle dominated Moore in 2 matches Dayton “greatest ever” lost 2 matches to 1 in 3 close matches to Seth gross surprise of the day had to be how well Nate Jackson did against j’den cox. Lost 2 matches to 1. All of them competitive.
I’m out of town, just checked the results. Crazy that Nate Jackson drew blood. also crazy that Seth gross is a world teamer. Good for him. Jesse Mendez nearly beat him at the open.
After all the shit Chance went through in his life it’s good shit to see him fulfilling his potential on and off the mat.
He really wrestled well at the NCAAs in Pittsburgh. That was one of the first times it looked like he wasn’t washed up.
I joined the football staff in August, we share a floor with our offices and the wrestling room. He is the nicest guy, you'd never think he has the past he does meeting him now. Just an incredible mentor to the kids on our campus now.
He may be heading back down to 74 next year though, probably wants to at least attempt it before the Olympic year. Nolf really made up some ground on Dake who may be showing some age/slowing down. His defense is still great but he doesn’t look like the 2019 version of Dake that could score 10 on anyone in a hurry
I think the only thing that could stop him from heading down to 74 is him bulking to 86. But 74 is the plan.
would just be the latest of many, many issues. Not sure it's serious or criminal as much as it would be "the last straw" kind of deal.
