FSU fans - “can we have a brian hartline” Norvell- “we have a brian hartline at home” Meanwhile at home
Only a portion of unofficial visits are overnight (though this seems to be increasing over time). And the ones that are overnight usually involve parents. The days of getting the recruits blacked out and sent home with 3 coeds are slowly diminishing.
We've had as much draft success at WR as OT, but you wouldn't know it because as mentioned, Hartline is a warlock.
He's said in the past that Ohio State is the only place he wants to coach. We'll see if that holds as he continues to get attention. I would be surprised if he's not our head coach some day.
If he hadn't made $30m in the NFL, maybe he'd be more enticed, but I think he's content making $1m per year doing his thing as WR coach at his alma mater.
His younger brother Mike played QB at Kentucky, and worked with the Dolphins when Brian Hartline was there and then was an OSU GA when Brian Hartline was an analyst. Fickell took Mike Hartline with him to Cincinnati. Now he’s the OC at Ohio Dominican. If Brian Hartline ever gets bored, I think he takes a job and brings his brother at a FBS somewhere.
I actually haven’t heard anything. I think the Baylor kid is supposed to make a final decision in the next week and I wanna say Glenn has a similar timeline. Could end up with neither.
Glenn wanted to decide before the Elite 11. If UF loses out in Rashada they might push for Glenn but might be too late to get in on his recruitment. He did visit I believe after his FSU official.
The Ohio State side seems to think it’s them or Auburn for Glenn but I have no idea how accurate that is. I only recently started paying attention to him tbh.
Thats sad if we can't close that one, but nothing really surprises me with this staff. July is supposed to be a huge month for us. I think we were expecting Glenn, Jeremiah Cobb, Karmello English, and some OL commits soon.
Yeah, rumblings of Carr reclassifying are getting louder, that would jive with this. If he goes there, I hope he does well.
The first thing had to do with Enow Etwa (a supposed Michigan lean). Last night some smoke started coming out that he was going to be officially visiting Alabama and is no longer a Michigan lean. All of this kind of originated from EJ. He gets turned off from leaks/crystal balls about him leaning to certain places, and someone grabs a screen shot of him saying, “fuck EJ Holland”. Last night the MSU insiders started crystal balling him to Michigan with a confidence level of 1 just to pile on. Michigan fans start attacking EJ Holland and some start blaming him for possibly losing Etwa. The second had to do with Ohio State commitment Bryson Rodgers. He starts telling Michigan fans yesterday that with the 3 guys we just got, Bryson is looking at them and they are “low key making a move for him”. Rodgers responds by posting this (which he’s since deleted):
Holland is a prick and I don't like him or wish to defend him. His ego for what he is annoys me so much it's almost amusing. That said, his biggest issue as a reporter (not as a person) is sharing way too much info and burning people in the process. He has no filter. That leads me to believe he's probably right about the Etta thing, and that Etta is now embarrassed that his business is being put out there and making him look weird (because it's really weird).
