Casey talked towards the end of the year that Bey had some of his better moments as the starting 4, so maybe they go that route and try to find another wing?
I have no clue how real the Ayton stuff is, but I have to think Stewart goes to Phoenix in a S&T if Ayton is coming here.
Stew at PF if they sign Ayton, right? Or do they think Stewart is a really good backup PF/C right now?
I have no clue what they're going to do, but I'd start Olynyk at the 4 over Stewart all day. Livers, too. If you're going to bank everything on Cade, Ivey and Ayton, the other two guys on the floor with them had better be able to shoot. Stewart might one day shoot well enough to be a decent stretch 5, but not someone you want taking 5-7 of them per game.
Is this one of those weird NBA things where their broadcast partner has to pretend that a trade didn't take place?
The NBA draft is impossible because of all the deals that happen but can't get announced. It's confusing as hell for everyone and a big reason the coverage is generally bad on TV. I love the NBA draft, but it sucks that you can't actually follow it and know what's happening without Twitter, and you can't go on Twitter without every pick being spoiled in advance.
They had 14 first round picks in the next five drafts, I believe. And I think NYK preferred to save the $$ for FA if they couldn't land someone like Ivey.
Duren can't shoot a lick, right? Why would we want a center that can't shoot when we intend to go after a FA center that can't shoot, and we already roster a 6'9" center that can't shoot?
