Think the angle makes it's seem worse, but my god that must have been a satisfying swing. Science says the sense of smell is the most indelible, but touch/feeling may be a lightning strike when done right
Boone tossed while up 2-0 in the 8th bc of another low strike to Judge. Unsurprisingly, Judge leads MLB with 53 called strikes outside the zone this year, also leads MLB with 433 since 2017. Umps just can't adjust their zone to account for his height so they call balls at his shin.
I can’t do this anymore teel can you change the thread title please it hurts too much to think of the good old days
I would be curious for a baseball nerd to compare strike zones for judge and og vladdy; called strikes/balls swung at
This guy is gonna be so much fun for whoever they trade him to. [/QUOTE] I said it before, but that's faster than claimed.
Devers and Alvarez both have insane power and they can tap into it in games without running a K% over 20%. Both just 25
He’s easily the best hitter in the league right now which is incredible with how good judge has been.
I had a giant baseball encyclopedia as a kid. I think I memorized most of it. I used to love to wonder about some random breakout season. Hope Buxton keeps it up
There was a pitch just now where Jeff Levering (pxp for the Brewers) said "Got him..." as soon as he saw the batter swinging. 99 at the top of the zone from Hader and saying it long before the ball was by him. Now it is probably explained by the audio/video being off by fraction of a second, but it feels like it is accurate that the way he's throwing that when he gets swings up there the batter has no chance.
Idk hard to say he's "easily" the best. Goldy is right their with him this year. Both are putting up stupid number. 200+ wRC+ is nuts.
"Only" a 175 wRC+. Based on that metric alone it's been: Yordan Goldy Trout Jram Judge Devers Kirk Harper Machado
