I'm now looking forward to the season. If Buxton can stay healthy and add another pitcher it could be fun.
And that is just with the pro teams. Gopher football would have plenty of ammo to join that list (2003 Michigan game, I'm looking at you)
Man this has been a fun season already. I think Arráez is close to emerging as my favorite favorite Twin of all time. Yeah he’s productive but I’ve never seen someone who’s more of a must-watch at-bat. The gesticulating!
They’re so terrible. We’ve lost 3 games in the last week against Cleveland where we led in the 8th or later. We could be running away with this.
Another 2 run lead blown in the 8th inning. This is unbelievable. 8 games in a 2 week period against Cleveland in which we led in the 8th in 7 of them and we are sitting at 3-4 with this game tied in the 9th. This should have been a 7-1 or 6-2 head-to-head stretch which would have buried Cleveland.
How is this even possible? Comically frustrating how bad the bullpen has been to let this many games slip away
I was surprised they were as active as they were. Was prepared for another let down of a trade deadline
A good thing happened to the Twins. Love having young old Carlos on the team. Sure hope he can stay healthy.
I'm listening to games on MLB.com for 4.99/mo because BSN is a daggum joke. Overall I like listening to games, esp with the quicker pace of this season, but there is a Scott's Turf Builder commercial after each half inning and I'm going mad. Anyway pitching staff's been great. Maybe we need a thread change Twins: Not the Marlins M Twins: Palanco my Twins: Watch that baseball hit singles
I realize this is three months old, but why? Lopez has been more impactful pretty much all season long.
the second half has been so good hitting-wise that it’s easy to forget how little punch they had the first two months. We were squandering great pitching. At that point the verve and unique ability that Arraez brought to the table was sorely lacking. Clearly with a full season’s worth of reflection and direct fWAR comparisons, the trade was worth it. But I’ll stand by my emotion-based post from then. As it turns out, strong rotation play and the injection of the exciting rookies saved the season. At the time of that post, it was feeling like August 2022 all over again.
Nice to win the division. Now win a dam playoff game! There shouldn't be any reason they can't this yr.
