I’m not much of a fan of Switzerland educating Kim Jong Un and how they’ve been providing security for the guys who were the first to try take away peoples rights to an abortion (Popes). Fucking Catholics are the ones who got the donkey brained Evangelicals in the anti-choice fold.
Besides them being nut jobs, why would the court rule that states can ignore their state supreme courts? Just seems like they would want to say no one can ignore the courts, we are the ultimate word on everything. I know. They’ll do it anyway.
I find it scandalous that there had to be two Dakotas. That’s two extra conservative senators with the power to create backward thinking Supreme Courts.
Michigan’s favorite son Marshall Mathers giving Elton John and his husband cock rings for a wedding present should have made same sex marriage sacrosanct in Michigan but apparently not.
And we thought Trump emboldened under the surface hate. Well, that was mostly just among common folk. This supreme court is having politicians campaigning and speaking like it is 1800.
The right finally realized cancel culture isn’t real and have now just openly been calling anyone in the LGBTQ+ community a groomer
couple of quick notes re the EPA ruling Spoiler The majority 6-3 opinion, authored by chief justice John Roberts, ruled the EPA wasn’t authorized by Congress to reduce carbon emissions when it was founded in 1970. “A decision of such magnitude and consequence rests with Congress itself, or an agency acting pursuant to a clear delegation from that representative body,” Roberts wrote, ruling the EPA would need to get permission from Congress before mandating emissions levels. Elena Kagan, one of the dissenting justices, argued Congress already granted the EPA such authority “when it broadly authorized EPA in Section 111 to select the 'best system of emission reduction' for power plants,” and said the limits imposed by the majority opinion “fly in the face of the statute Congress wrote.” Partisan reaction to the ruling lined up exactly where you think it did. Conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation called the ruling a "major step to restore representative government" while a White House spokesperson called it a “devastating decision.” The Plan Who Wasn’t There: This was a particularly strange case because it concerned an Obama-era plan to mandate coal fire plants to cut emissions that never came into effect. Several states, including Texas and Kentucky, nevertheless challenged that plan all the way to the highest court and won.
Mayor Pete will totally divorce his husband in an attempt to distance himself from THE RADICAL LEFT ANTIFAS.
Thinking fantastically yet honestly about the division of this country into two separate nations. 1. I think at this point, the liberal states would be the ones needing to secede 2. The ensuing brain drain from the conservative republic would be spectacular to behold.
Similar to who would win a 2nd Civil War, it all comes down to who controls the military at the time of succession. The Boss thing to do would be to excommunicate Republicans and force them to create their own new government while still in power, but this group of feckless Dems wouldn’t be so bold.
Don’t think it would be realistic that the military itself would remain united and adhere to its current hierarchies. I don’t like to think about the numbers advantage the right has amongst active members of the military.
George Washington fought for that guy so probably not the sickest of burns the cartoonist was hoping for.
Love how the Rs always scream about slippery slope, and they're the same ones that go to outright bans on abortion and AR-15s on demand.
The method of counting days pregnant from the last period is, in itself, moronic. Otherwise, the act of not fertilizing that fucking egg is an abortion.
