Leveling the guns in Vanguard is absolutely ridiculous. Who could possibly have time for this shit? Modern Warfare you’d pop a double weapon xp token and go in shipment or shoot the ship and in an hour you’d have it leveled.
game has been out for less than a week. Vanguard has been out for a while now. Plenty of opportunities to level guns and gives you something to chase. Kinda odd to expect to fully level a gun in an hour. God forbid you have to grind a little.
Cold War guns took longer than MW, but the multiplayer maps in face off and Nuke Town and the boat map were much better. I like playing Warzone. Vanguard as a game is significantly worse than Cold War and MW.
Play the Vanguard multiplayer and you’ll have it done easily. Had the STG leveled up to 22 after 2 MP matches
Not even close. CW is trash compared to Vanguard. Vanguard is just a reskinned MW. You want to level up your weapons fast, pop that double weapon XP and play Das Hause and Shipment. What sucks is the weapons max out at 70. Snag the Cooper Carbine and all the first level unlocks make the gun competitive with the metas.
Killed a squad last night and grabbed their diamond guns. Made me want to grind that camo out for about ten minutes before I thought about how long it would take.
Gold and Diamond look ugly in Vanguard. Only reason I grinded for gold and platinum in MW is because I spent half the school year teaching from home
New map is fun with OG guns. Making it Vanguard only guns was going to kill off the majority of their player base.
Having a decent amount of fun on the big map these days when we can actually get a squad up. Dropped 16 and 18 kill games one night last week with the old M13 and CX combo.
May turn out to be something interesting, but right now it's just Kong in the middle of the map throwing rocks around and Godzilla walking along the coast shooting a laser. You can collect "intel" which lets you place one of their attacks on the map. Good for endgame, but that's it. Just not a lot to it.
It looks like it’s fast paced and you could get a ton of kills, but it doesn’t look like they did much besides place the two characters in. I thought they’d fight each other.
Played it last night. Everybody stands around shooting at the monsters to get loadouts. We managed to drop a huge kill streak on the last team in the zone and get the win. Not my cup of tea tbh.
I’ve been playing a few rounds. I like it cause it’s easier for me to get kills with people distracted, lol.
Our group likes the mode because of the resurgence factor. Big island hardly gets played anymore by my people because the player base still out there is sweatier than it was when the game was peaking and more casual players were on. you really just need to post up and shoot one of them for like 60 seconds to get your gauge full. We just did that at some point in the first 2 circles (one game we went planes and did it that way) and then went middle zone and played like normal and saved kill streaks for when it got small enough. Had a 9-kill Godzilla laser. Also had a Kong rock slam on a little hangar office we were in that insta-wiped us and was kinda hilarious. not as cool as zombie mode when the game was in full force but a good change of pace for casual people who don’t care much for Caldera
Really hoping they steal some more shit from APEX like they did with the jump towers when they release the new Warzone this summer/fall. they desperately need a ranked mode. Gives people something to achieve. Keeps people from quitting (I guess there could be a timer after dying in gulag before you could leave without a time-out penalty). And it’s light years ahead in matching skill level of lobbies than their dogshit SBMM system. the other change that would be great is rotating maps every season.
My gulag experience is either being patient and getting people that are content to let the zone expire instead of move so I’m forced to push zone and die from utility or people who post up on a heady and shoot me when I’m trying to maneuver the map. It’s really annoying.
pretty dead in our group now but everyone will be back on the train when MW2 and the new Warzone come out. Caldera is a meh map and all the casual players are gone so it's majority sweaty lobbies whenever we have gotten on. Also people got spoiled by resurgence respawns and play too loose on Caldera. I can't play Rebirth island anymore after probably somewhere north of 500 drops in there. From a pure entertainment standpoint, Apex is a superior BR right now
definitely excited for a new gen MW game. assuming the campaign is going to be pretty badass as usual. But also having hopefully a FOV and performance ratings that compete with PCs would be great
