I thought the same. I got the Lobster Roll Foie Gras and was all :dblnick:

content to say I did it, but MTL has much better to offer.

agree with passing on Schwartz. just focus on bagels and poutine

I'd put basically any American Jewish deli (katz/langers/etc) wildly ahead of Schwartz and even the salt beef bagels in London which are not seemingly that famous but fantastic.

I fly out of the country on standby all the time and therefore don’t book my connecting international flight until I’m boarding my first flight. It can be both thrilling and entirely aggravating/tiring.

BamaNug im saying this as someone who lets surfing dictate an unreasonable amount of his time and money. 45 degree water isn’t fun and the waves won’t be worth it there.

the only 45 degree water id voluntarily brave to surf would probably be midnight daylight surfing in Norway. But that’s a whole level of novelty that would overpower the pain of water that cold imo.

If you don’t know what time it is isn’t it the same as surfing during the day?

I live in Dominican Republic now, so kind of out of the loop regarding the Montreal afterparty scene. I’d say keep your eyes open and maybe do some research on Insta or Facebook

As an avid surfer, I said to myself "why?" When I read Norway. There is some night surfing during full moons. Which I've never done

I’ve planned my Montreal Air BnB to be right by La Banquise, for reasons.

outside of going back to Ramados and eating bagels, no real plans. If there are any great bars to recommend, let me know. I’ll be there with 5 other people. More of a party atmosphere with Osheaga

for all intensive porpoises it would be the exact same, I just think it would be really cool to be out there at 1am in broad day light

Romados is closed. Ma Poule Mouillee right next to La Banquise is much better anyway. And their poutine is the best in town.

Turns out it reopened. Wouldn’t go though. Portugalia makes the best pure portguese chicken in town and it’s 2 blocks away. You can order in advance or wait 10-15 minutes there but it has a cult-like following among those who know. They don’t do Romados or Poule Mouillee’s volume, but they have changed the lives of many restaurant workers on St-Laurent.

What was the agreed upon drop off fee? That seems to be what the charge is, although very poorly worded

Just flew into Vegas (dinner rec: Catch), then drove to Zion Park to chill/hike (hike rec: Narrows), and then back to Vegas.

Definitely an affordable trip that combines outdoors and indoors.

$100. Seems like she’s double/quadruple charging (20 miles there to drop off, 20 miles back, 20 miles there to pickup, 20 miles back) and making a claim against the security deposit.

RV slept fine and was what it was. The owner seems to be a shitty person, though. She hooked it up to septic tank, 30 minutes later It stank so we disconnected it. Well the owner hadn’t emptied the tank before like she said she had, and literal human shit spilled out and was quite the disgusting hassle. Meanwhile, another buddy rented one with a hitch.

Looked at that recently, looked cool. Is it two day trains with 1 overnight stay in the middle?

How long are the train rides? Thought about maybe trying to do this with my son next year.

any of these 3 (they only list 2 addresses because two are next door to each other) are my favorite places to eat in the entire city. la Mer specifically.

Robert e Louise is great for a very traditional french steakhouse meal. Can probably search my posts as I've posted a lot about Paris.

The Two Bastards, Boulangerie Utopie, and Pierre Herme are the best bakeries.

The fun thing about Paris is that the random cafe/bistro on the corner busts out a delicious dinner imo (which is not to say one shouldn't have more specific dining aspirations, but...)

that’s why I love that city so much, so many times I went for a glass of wine at a random cafe next thing you know it’s 3-4 hours later 2-3 bottles in and delicious well priced dinner you weren’t planning on while you people watch

Checked luggage that you guys really like? We’ve been primarily using our Osprey travel packs or our carry-on sized spinners, but it’s time to upgrade to some good bigger bags as we’re now traveling with a toddler and need a little more volume.
