If Lonergan was the lone QB commit then yeah meh but I'm pretty damn happy to get a second QB commit from a guy like him
Several months ago I asked a guy whose opinion I trust that follows this a hell of a lot closer to me said that he liked this kid better than Holstein. I guess we will see but after that Elite 11 thing maybe he’s not as far off as some think on that take. Saban has done pretty well with QBs the past 6-7 years so yeah I’m very happy to get him
They’re both top 100 composite guys so not sure why we’d ever be upset taking a top 100 QB he’s not a 3 star scrub

He and my son played baseball together at East Cobb and against each other after that for many years. Dylan is a very intense competitor. He is very fiery. He is also a tremendous athlete. He led our team to win the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament a few years ago all while training for football on non-game days. We were the first GA team to win it for many years. He hates losing and will light a fire under anyone not playing at a winning level. However, I'm very surprised that he ended up choosing us. His dad, Dan, and I used to talk about the BAMA-Penn State rivalry from the 70's and 80's. I never thought that I would see Dylan on this side of that rivalry. Tremendous get for Coach Saban!
QB who is our 2nd QB in the class and a 95 on 247 commits and our reaction is "meh." But I like the high expectations and the standards that we've established. Keep demanding more champs.
Was reminded by an Alabama assistant tonight that international kids and NIL don’t go hand in hand Wonder if that messed up our Canadian pipeline https://www.espn.com/college-sports...dent-athletes-face-nil-conundrum-seems-answer
from the times I’ve been able to watch he’s still struggling with his handles. I watched him try to cross someone over in transition and lose the ball off his leg. He’s going to have to improve there. His weakness last year was that if you increased the ball pressure he would freak out and in most cases, turn it over. If he can’t beat you with speed on the pressure and turn the corner he goes into a shell. But, his style is 100% more suited for the NBA where everyone can shoot and space the floor. If he had played on the sweet 16 team he would’ve been really good, we had much better spacing.
Would really be something to get the #2 and #1 player in Mississippi in back to back years, respectively, and actually hold on to them.
If we keep dominating the portal, idgaf as long as the signing classes are respectable. Went in and got 5 likely starters, potentially two who may be first rounders and took this team's potential to another level.
My only beef is that he’s a Rome High kid and not a Darlington School guy, like Barves2125 and Ron DeSantis
After talking to a couple well places sources I think Alabama is trending heavily for Caleb Downs. I'm not ready for an official prediction but if I was to make one it would be to Alabama. This after talking to multiple people this week. Downs is one of the nation's elite prospects, ranked in the top 10 overall. Don't know his exact date yet but feel if he chooses soon UA is in a good spot. The talk is it will be this summer and the date beginning to be set up. Charles Kelly is leading his recruitment for the Tide We will let you know if we hear of any changes in this one. UGA, OSU and ND are also heavily involved with the Buckeyes being possibly the biggest threat along with the instate Dawgs. Wilftong is going to drop in with some more intel. We've been working this together.
I also don’t know who this “Dylan” yt is who we got at QB but I watched his vids and he’s so much better than Eli Manning’s son
I watched them too and he looked legit. Got great touch on his throws and a real feel for pocket and the game
