Kross being introduced as the #2 heel is crazy after having a largely unforgettable WWE career outside of NXT.
I don't follow much outside of the WWE and now AEW. But I clearly remember this thread being a buzz about him going to WWE but more specifically NXT. But it quickly was evident that his entire presentation and wrestling ability was not long for the crazy work rate show that NXT was at the time. I'm not surprised he's been put right into the main event scene. HHH clearly loved him and put a ton into his character presentation in NXT. He was pushed to the top right from the start as well. HHH also has to clean the stink that Vince left behind. I don't think you can debut Kross and have him attack a AJ Styles or some mid card baby face and get the traction you are looking for. Kross being the #2 heel behind Roman on Smackdown isn't surprising that roster is pretty bare on established talent. I think Sami was the #2 heel at one point and it seems like he may be turning baby face with the Uso storyline right now. Gunther is just getting established... so yeah the options are thin on Smackdown.
For those that were wanting to see Kevin Dunn and the ADHD camera cuts go away, well Fightful has some bad news for you…
ehh I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking outside the company for a replacement and there's not much else you could say in the meantime.
Absolute wrong trend. Most "ppv matches" don't deserve to be on PPV. Especially when they spread out the big matches over both days. Only the hard-core fans going to tune into that. If you want to pick up more casual fans and potentially grow the brand, companies need to get back to 3 hour done by 11 PPVs with only the key matches. Easier for someone on the fence to watch to commit to that vs. 8 hours over 2 nights. If you want to highlight lesser feuds and stuff for hard-core fans, put those matches all together maybe on a network special night before, but still leave big ones for PPV
I don't think AEW has shown any interest in anything other than playing to the extremley online hardcore fan. Like last week that Mance guy that showed up his first night and had a title match with Mox. They think it's your problem if you don't know who he is.
Yea. AEW clearly only books to their fan base. Has its pros and cons, if you're one of those fans you love it. But they aren't going to expand past their current audience. Nothing wrong though with being the niche alternative #2 company as long as your ratings stay high enough to keep network happy (which it appears there is no risk of that not being the case at the moment)
That's been my main beef with them since the start. Can you put together a 90 second video highlights what happened on BTE to get us here or have Excalibur or JR fill in the blanks from a feud that took place in front of 100 people at some bingo hall in California. Give us some backstory to fill the gaps. Shit under Vince they would overkill on stuff like that. A beatdown to start RAW and the moment out of commercial break they are recapping the opening segment in segment 2. Yo Vince I didn't forget what just happened 3 minutes ago. That's one nice change under HHH a lot less recap on what transpired the segment before.
Rumored by the same guy who couldn't even get the Monday Night Raw card correct and some dirt sheet folks that got banned from the squared circle subreddit
I’m just sick of Moxley. You don’t have to bleed 3 minutes in to every match you have on free tv. Never been a huge fan of his and now he just has go away heat with me. It’s the same match over and over no matter who the opponent is.
AEW does a good job with this stuff sometimes, but almost never puts it on TV. That I do not understand.
United Empire vs. Death Triangle and Ingobernables vs. Bucks and Hangman/Omega is going to be absolutely insane for weekly TV.
