It’s great to go into the most difficult week of the season on a winning streak. We really really need to have success against the Mets and Astros next week if nothing else just to have some more confidence against top tier teams. We haven’t looked very good against the top teams so far. Not to mention this might be our last best chance to get firmly back into the division race
I honestly hope the team isn’t even putting extra energy into it being the Mets. They seem to play uptight every time against them when there’s added pressure. We just need to play clean games and wait for some breaks to go our way.
I’m not saying it was the sole determining factor but i did break out the Money Mike t shirt this weekend and i think the performance speaks for itself.
The Marlins have scored 3 or fewer runs in 15 straight games. I'm happy with the sweep, but I'm not taking much from these pitching performances.
How fast does AA get an extension together for Harris and what would it take? Considering the Acuna deal, I’m not sure if 8/110 does it?
Sure they’re bad, but his stuff plays. He had a good outing early in the year and a bad one. He’s looked a lot better than Kyle Wright did his first 10 starts in the bigs.
How long do we have control for currently? I’d like to get a full season out of him before offering a big contract (unless the thought is to get him for cheaper now).
He’s been pretty consistent in that Riley and Acuna both had to show it for a full season plus right?
Yeah, I don’t even find that particularly pressing right now. They’re going to have to make a decision on SS and SP this off-season, which are much more important.
I listened to most of today on the radio and it’s amazing because Ben Ingram was obviously grown in a lab for baseball play-by-play guys and then you have Joe being like “this guy is a legendary bitch.”
I thought the big deal with Acuna was that it was the biggest contract for a player with less than a year service time in the history of the MLB
If you told me Money would have 12 homers over 162 games, I’d be pretty pleased given his defense. To do it in 69 games is nice.
The Phillies “rebuild” was hilarious. They committed to it for like one and a half seasons and all the players they drafted suck.
Did Frenchy say this? I wouldn’t know, I was too busy listening to Joe call the Marlins starter a bitch for plunking so many guys.
Frankly, I feel like Grissom getting work in LF all off-season is the move. I wouldn’t feel good about letting Dansby walk and inserting a rookie into the most important position on the field. My attitude on the Dansby situation is exactly the same as it was with Freddie: If you’re going to let him walk, cool. But you better have someone of equal or better talent lined up to sign.
