Started the week with reasonable expectations- wasn’t expecting us to win but did want to see some offensive improvement overall and some of the young guys on the d line flash, but figured it was going to end somewhere in the ballpark of 35-17 BC. But as the week has gone, I’ve become naively optimistic and as of today, I still think RU loses but covers. Come Saturday I’ll be all in on a 28-24 RU win and I’m mad at myself for it. Anybody else feeling unrealistically optimistic?
Also I think we'll be a better actual team than last year but have a worse record because of the schedule
3 wins and no blow outs outside of OSU is what I’ve set in my mind as the floor to show some (minimal) improvement. 4 wins should happen with wins against Wagner, Temple and 2 of Indiana, BC, Nebraska, Maryland or Iowa in order of likelihood. 5 wins or more would be amazing. Less than 3 wins and I have to wonder what the hell we are doing (absent a series of bad injuries).
Can I get the batcave link as well? I'm going to need to re-register because there is zero chance I still have access to whatever email I used. Feels like 2018 again.
I imagine they move one of the three safeties on the 2 deep into the box against run heavy teams, hopefully Igbinosun. Drew Singleton should assume a new identity, put on a disguise and walk-on to the team. Fuck the ncaa. Srew Dingleton.
This has got to be Jennings' 8th year in the program or something. I feel like he's been here forever.
Kratch with a nice piece today. Says he thinks Wimsatt starts at BC: https://elitesportsny.com/2022/09/0...at-rutgers-will-be-defined-outside-the-lines/ I always thought he was the best beat reporter RU had in awhile.
What I didn’t expect was for us to look unprepared. Looks like they’re targeting Izien in the pass game.
Penalties aside, we don't look god awful. Also, I know it's the ACCN, but I can't listen to this homerism. Muting this for the rest of the game.
