they'll be fine. might lose power but if they have a newer home, they're especially good. i have neighbors boarding up in south orlando area. all new homes with windows rated to easily withstand this stuff.
15-18” of rain for Orlando is insane. I have relatives in Naples that stayed during Irma because forecasts didn’t seem too extreme until it was too late. Afterwards they said it was a terrifying experience. Same relatives are staying again
Anyone have experience with screened patios during storms like this? More concerned about water building up. Do you run out and open the doors to let water out?
I sobered up pretty quick during Charley when a 50 foot oak in our yard got ripped out by its roots and fortunately landed away from the house. Thought the roof was going to come off. Every other hurricane I’ve been I basically slept through.

Jax Teller i work down there, should be fine, lots and lots of rain but the winds shouldn’t be horrendous. Assuming they don’t have any big trees in there yard they should be fine. But if you can’t get a hold of them or need someone to check on them I will be in my office on Monday and I would certainly be willing to do that for you.
