10-3 11-3 13-1 8-5 10-4 4-3 9-4 Started 2-3 this season Won or tied division 3 times with appearance in 2 former “bcs” bowls (won the Orange once). That’s a really really good record
Pelini was 67-27 (39-17 in conference) at Nebraska. Chryst was 67-26 (43-18 in conference) at Wisconsin with more division titles, bowl wins, and 2 more bsc bowl appearances. Chryst was clearly better.
What exactly are the parameters? Expectation to graduate in four years regardless of credit acceptance?
ND has the same. We also don’t accept any undergrad Business credits, regardless of the schools they come from or grades achieved. You could be an A student at Wharton with perfect test scores and couldn’t transfer into ND. It’s fun!
We’re hearing ND is about to pull a lot of them for football, but we’ll see. Next cycle will be telling.
It's a joke for both athletes and regular students. Rumors are the Chancellor is retiring soon but I would just be getting my hopes up that the next one would be any different. Whole system of suck in Boulder.
UW is definitely just gonna go with Leonhard because they'll somehow think Leipold isn't Wisconsiny enough and that state is on a divine mission to crawl further and further up its own ass with each new coach.
If McVay hired only minority assistants, we’d have multiple 3rd Round supplementary draft picks every year
So is the prevailing idea that Wisconsin fired Chryst because they were worried about losing Jim Leonhard?
But for a midseason firing for a coach with that good of an overall record after giving him an extension just last year, would be rash.
The David Shaw seat is certainly on fire. If Chris Petersen wants to coach again, that job is definitely his for the taking. Chris hates recruiting but Stanford is a job where you don’t need to put in a shit ton of effort recruiting.
The schedule looks like it lightens up so should propel Leonhard to the head coaching spot or give cover for not promoting him if they fail.
Everyone keeps saying Shaw is safe as long as he wants to continue coaching. Although is if Chryst just got fired then who knows.
Head coach who knows but he’s a part of the badger family. He’s seemingly been really good as a DC, at least enough to be offered an NFL gig.
On the UCLA board, Tracy Pierson is very tied in with the rest of the conference and he said Shaw needs a miraculous turn around to save his job. Money is no issue with Stanford either. They basically built the newer Stanford Stadium by cashing out the stock options Google gave them.
