not anymore. which is why you need that money. no way you jeopardize your livelihood (and probably have to switch careers) for like $10k imo
Tired: Selling the video to TMZ for 100K Wired: Securing the only copy of the video & blackmailing Klutch Sports for $1M+
Draymond clearly leaked it to get an early jump on his future celebrity boxing career He's gonna get the last laugh when he makes $20M to box Logan Paul or the kid from "Charlie Bit My Finger"
Think about how exhausting it must be for Curry, Thompson, Kerr, Myers, etc., to have to deal with Draymond all these years. He costs you a title with the suspension. He never shuts up and takes credit for just about everything. He blows up your Durant squad. He's punching your best young player in the face. And all the while, you have to constantly coddle him and his ego by telling everyone that he's the "emotional leader" of the team to make him feel important as he's shooting 30% from 3 and can't make a lay-up so that he doesn't get fat again and completely stop trying to do the one job you need him to do.
To add to everything you have been saying don't forget about that video from a game a few years back of Kerr saying he is so sick of Draymonds shit. I think we all understand competitive tension but we can't ignore the history of the player that threw the punch. Even if JP was getting on teammates nerves Draymond has been getting on their nerves for a lot longer.
I do want to see Draymond play for someone else just to see if he has no positive impact That would be hilarious
He was the best player on the 19-20 Warriors because of injuries to Curry and Thompson. The Warriors went 15-50.
Switchable long guy who plays bigger than he is, can defend the rim, handles the ball well for his position, and has at least decent playmaking chops would be bad on a different team is a take. Draymond is annoying and I get embracing the pile on but let's at least operate within reality here. Draymond is a good to very good basketball player who contributes to winning. Every team wants what he brings to the court.
There's a difference in what's being said here. Stick him on an already good team and he improves that team as long as what he brings to the floor isn't provided by someone else(you can't have 2 Draymond if you don't have elite scorers around him, in other words) Ask him to be the best or even second best player on a team at this point in his career...and your team goes 15-50. No one's saying he isn't a good player...but he's in about the best possible situation he could ask for his skillset at this point in his game.
Correct. I've defended Draymond as a player a lot on here. He's a HOF player, and I don't think it's that much of a debate. He's one of the most influential players of the last decade in many respects as far as how his skill set changed how teams play. That said, he's annoying as hell and not as good as he thinks, and it's only going to get worse in that regard in the coming years.
This contract stuff the next year or 2 has a chance to be hilarious because there is zero reason for the Warriors to give age 33-36 Draymond the $30M+ he's going to want in his next deal.
This would be accurate if it was 2019 or before he almost cost the Warriors multiple playoff games And the team got better benching him for Looney, especially in that Memphis series edit meant to quote nc husker’s post
i find the era-specific success argument more compelling for draymond than the team-specific success argument
Anyone watching Pistons v Pelicans. Box score shows Kemba Walker has played 6 minutes. Also Pretty impressive he's two places at once
Everyone is saying it's just a hamstring tweak which makes sense after 18 months off. Probably scared the shit out of him. Don't think it's too serious but we'll see
This kind of seems like an overreaction to me if we're just talking about the punch. I do believe that, if this is the beginning of the end for Draymond in GS, it will be as much because of the Haynes tweet as it is the punch. It's one thing to lose your shit for 5 seconds and punch a guy. It's another thing to use your relationships with (old) media to try to bury the guy you punched hours later to try to save your ass. All of the strongest statements made on the situation by anyone with GS have been in reference to that tweet.
He’s at a Ben Simmons level confidence on offense. Dude was playing scared out there. Liability anywhere else but GS with other weapons around
I dislike Draymond as much as anyone. There has to be more to the story that we don't know, as much as he's an asshole, I don't believe he'd swing on a teammate that hard over a few chirps and a push.
Suppose the NBA draft were tomorrow and the team that had the #1 pick was willing to trade the pick but it was only for a single player. Which players aren't you trading for the number one pick? Let's assume that Victor continues to look like the best prospect since Lebron, maybe ever. Also assume that Victor checks out totally healthy come the draft and there's no concerns outside of hypothetical future injury. Definitely not trading Giannis Jokic Embiid Luka Steph Tatum Ja Likely wouldn't but would entertain the thought Booker Lillard Anthony Edwards Evan Mobley Anthony Davis Jamal Murray Lamelo It's a tough choice Zion Scottie Barnes Cade Cunningham Darius Garland Bam A KAT Kawhi James Harden Trae Young You would consider it but your owner wouldn't let you actually do it for various reasons Lebron Kevin Durant This isn't a complete list because I'm buzzed and don't want to think that hard but I think it's an interesting thought experiment for NBA dorks like us.
