think he will be a very good player eventually, just need Nyland Green to stay now. obviously Everette is the diamond of that 2022 DB class
Singletary with another year in S&C could be a starter somewhere. Crazy how we recruit corners though.
No doubt. I think AJ Harris could be better than all them. Sucks to lose Singletary but with what we have returning and just brought in with 23 class plus the 24 class prospects, we won’t miss a beat.
We've done a really good job of developing kids and having them wait their turn. I guess last year's corner class said fuck that.
All these team site boards are always talking about this collective and that collective. Pretty sure the gamecock site starts a new one every quarter. You don't see/hear shit about ours. #SeaIslandBoys
Rowe making it seem like he was in over his head compared to the talent around him in Athens. Idk. so couldve been a bad evaluation on our part, but he was the next guy on the list after Travis Hunter iirc. Thank god for Everette flipping.
Rusty also saying he was not going to start next year and wants to start says all player season exit interviews are happening today and tomorrow so we will know soon on everyone in the portal. 3 so far and think we are looking at at least 4 more.
Earlier this year Dayne or Radi one said something about Singletary being really good and Donnan was like "whooooo? Singletary? He's got a long ways to go to see the field here". And I remember after signing day Dayne saying something about him being a lockdown CB and Donnan was like "you talking about Everette or Julio? Because they're the 2 cover guys. Kinda odd since he got so much hype out of HS
Sorey is definitely gone. I honestly wouldnt be mad if Ericson stayed as the backup interior guy, but I also would love to see the younger more talented guys
i thought Sorey was going to be a beast out of HS. But thats another position group where recruiting is too hot in the portal era.
yeah, Baker, Campbell, stokes, Ringo, etc are badass. There just arent many true shutdown CB's out there, but we've had some really good ones
Same. His speed is on another level but he has no idea where he's supposed to be. It's either go play somewhere else or hope 4th-5th year you can pull a Channing Tindall.
DL would be ridiculously deep. Might be the best combo of DL with edge rushers we’ve had under Kirby
Idk where you’d even play Sorey. He looks lost at ILB and he’s not bad as an edge rusher but he’s not that good either. And then he gets swallowed up in the running game. Hope he can figure it out somewhere but if you can’t develop under Schu….. probably not a good sign
Also everyone can see why we’re taking 3 TEs and still want lyons. Only Brock and Delp are back and Brock will be gone after next year
Saw a couple of National guys talking about how small he is after seeing him in person. Like yeah, compared to Darnell everyone is small
I can't wait for NFL GM brain to get involved and him slip to round 2 because he's not 6'6" 260 as he goes on to be a pro bowler.
really? I heard and read where they all said he was bigger than they thought in person. Herbstreit said it too iirc
Goede should have stayed, kept doing the podcast with Ratledge, and become famous as the next bigtime sports radio personality in Atlanta.
Yeah I cant even remember who now, but 2 of the national guys were talking about it. He took a picture with Darnell and Ben Watson and looks like he's the same size as Ben
Gonna have to agree here even though I understand wanting a shot to play. I worry he won't find a good landing spot. I could be way off.
I thought he would stay because of the podcast and the access and, I assume, money he could make from it. Although I tried to watch the podcast and it's terrible so maybe not
my brother suggested he may be using the grad transfer angle to get into a grad school he otherwise couldnt have gotten into academically. And that he is getting married this summer. Idk Probably just means a lot lot less 12 personnel in 2023 from Monken. At least until the Frosh are up to speed.
Goede playing baseball back in the day was actually pretty impressive. I know he had some injuries, but he looked way more athletic than he does in pads
Infinitely better logo than last year. I saw it in early December and was going to be really mad if we didn't get to use it.
