really impressive turn from having everyone on his side to having everyone against in the matter of a few posts
The next time I get in an argument with my gf, I’m going to hire dbl to grenade the situation with mind bending tangents.
She’ll probably end up jumping into traffic like I want to anytime I read one of his inane arguments you heartless bastard
Maybe the tourists, but not locals. Our non-chud locals keep killing each other. The state is even trying to punish our metro council because they are pretty liberal and blocked the RNC.
I love when idiots generalize here is my CM, pretty cool guy, agree on about half the things he pursues in council but I like him. He is also gay, not that it matters but really goes against your trump generalization. The CM that controls a part of East starting two streets north of me is also a lesbian, I probably agree with less than 30% of what she purposes for in council. Still not terrible. This is the other CM that is over a good portion of East starting about .25 miles to the west of me. He sucks, a democratic socialist who doesn't like homeownership and homeownership rights. Is on the anti-AirBnb review board. I don't agree with anything he stands for.
Nashville is so chuddy/far right that we elect anybody and everybody, regardless of their lifestyle? Nashville is also so chuddy that I have 3-4 neighbors around me that are gay.
Probably more if I polled the neighborhood 7/40 CM’s seems pretty high for a chud city-https://www.nydailynews.com/news/po...0190731-klw7qz54rzgjbcowufzpsidt34-story.html
Imagine trying to make a point against generalizations by highlighting 3 metro council members when there are 40 members on the metro council.
I highlighted my CM and the two neighboring districts. We have the “most progressive council” ever elected https://www.tennessean.com/story/op...ement-move-city-ahead-lebron-hill/3896963002/ Council voted no to the RNC and now the state wants to punish Nashville and reduce council down to 20. I think that will backfire and the council will shift even further left. The densely populated areas are very left compared to large lots in Green Hills/Belle Meade.
Is anyone else genuinely afraid that they will be capped while driving? I feel like it’s happening more often.
maybe it's an abuse of powers but I've had enough of one poster so he's no longer allowed to post in this thread
Did you actually read the article you shared? Here are some excerpts from it. 1) “Though he believes that the progressive movement will be great for the city, it's not yet prevalent. "Comparatively speaking, we're a more progressive city than other cities in Tennessee, but are we a truly progressive city? Absolutely not," Clemmons said. "We've had the same people run this city for the last 30 years. You've seen a lot of people in the city prosper and you've seen a lot of people be left behind."” 2) “I don't see evidence of the progressive movement that is being pushed in our city. A progressive agenda must take into consideration what and who the city is leaving behind.” 3) “Progressive is relative to what you are progressing from. In more conservative areas of the country, it doesn't take much to be labeled as progressive because there is a lot of work to be done to move forward. It seems that this movement stems from most Nashvillians being tired of the same political discourse, tired of societal inequity, tired of the status quo. What Nashville, the fed-up Nashville, wants is change, and progressivism is portrayed as a vessel for change. However, it seems that this movement currently is trendy and fragile.”
Between DBL and NK, this may very well be the worst 3 page thread in the history of this board, and that's saying something.
Not yet. Not that it means much, but Miles’ attorney put out a statement saying Miles “maintains his innocence”, but also included that their firm is still investigating the shooting.
I know, I was only trying to answer the question of do we know who shot. At this time, the only statement has been that Miles says he is innocent, which could go towards answering that question. But as I said, that doesn’t mean much.
It's possible Miles is innocent, but that statement doesn't mean anything at all. I would expect the lawyer for the other Defendant to say the same basic thing.
I guess my preface of “not that it means much” wasn’t strong enough of a “hey take this with a grain of salt” for you.
-I don't live in Florida -I don't drive like an asshole No, I'm not worried about getting shot while driving
