This is such a fucking frustrating way to end the season. Possibly the best team in the league and completely done in by injuries.
Stopping to be read option with a mobile quarterback is always difficult, but this defense is way too scared of Hurts running the ball.
Honestly defense has been fine, they’ve been given short field twice on turnovers and went 1 for 2 cant ask them to be miracle workers their first td shouldn’t have even counted
I’m not entirely kidding when I say I’d just say fuck it and get weird, put deebo or mcaff at qb and run the wildcat
"Fine" probably stopped being good enough when Purdy went out. The fumble put them in a bad spot, but getting gashed for 2 TDs after miraculously pulling even was disappointing
Penalties are hurting the defense more than anything. Staying on the field and getting worn down. We’re holding them to 4.4 yards per play, that’d be worst in the league over a season. Can’t keep extending drives for them.
Sure but the eagles are a good team it was inevitable they’d string together a drive. You give them the ball on the 30 3 plays after the defense got off the field gonna be a tough stop.
I think it’s done, but you are right it opens the door more than it would have. Even if they had lost I wanted to see how Brock did in this environment purely to evaluate/experience.
How is this eagles team a 1 seed? Hurts is better than Johnson but he’s the worst qb I’ve seen this year.
Also, with the ticky tack shit they’re calling that very easily could’ve been a personal foul on Philadelphia
You know I was worried about the deep shots on our corners but they’ve done well on several. Granted Hurts has missed 2 where they got burned. back breaker there on the roughing call
Yeah even if we lost a close one and he didn’t lose us the game it was a no brainer. Now with an injury to his throwing arm and his small stature it raises questions.
Everyone’s just trying to do too much and defense is frustrated. But lol at Olsen calling hurts fantastic today and he may be injured so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt but he most certainly has not been fantastic.
I haven’t watched hurts since Tua took his job but he looks like the same player to me. Can run but still a bad qb. Maybe he’s hurt?
he jacked up his shoulder and was out for a couple weeks supposedly it still bothers him so I’m giving it to him there
I think the most frustrating part of this game is that I had no idea what it would look like till we took the field. But since we have everything I’ve seen has led me to believe we could/would have won.
