Couple different cats talking about us making more trades, and I doubt they’re freeing up space for no reason.
The 3ypc guys are saying that the Ramsey thing kinda caught the Dolphins off guard and just kinda fell in their laps. Kinda mucked up some FA plans they had but was deemed worth it. Interesting to see how they pivot. Guessing they were gonna make a big play for Edmunds or one of the RTs. Probably means we lose some of our FAs like Sherfield too, which is kinda whatever when you get a guy like Ramsey.
I always wonder how those calls go if it did come up quickly. Like how did they arrive at adding in Hunter Long of all people
If they bring back Sherfield, they need to unload Wilson. Ultimately still need a RT, LB, and RB, and I think they can make space to address all 3
Interesting the 3YPC guys said that it came out of nowhere and national guys like Ian Rapoport said the deal had been in the works for about a month and Miami was Ramsey's preferred destination.
Yeah idk. Could be that the Rams caved on compensation last minute. Or maybe those guys got fed that to lower fans FA expectations.
I wouldn't say never, but it needs to be a special player to have a chance to work. AP, Henry, Tomlinson, ect.
How much does Henry have left in the tank though? Like we need an oline. There’s no point in a running back if no one can block
Yeah honestly I was more than fine with Moster, he just can't be relied on to stay healthy all year. I thought he looked great when he was healthy. I'm fine with adding a mid-round RB. I know we don't have a ton of picks but I don't think we absolutely have to have an All-Pro there to win.
Oh I wouldn't sign Henry to a big deal now. Just throwing out random examples of times where RBs got paid and the team didn't regret it. I think we're fine to sign a cheaper Miles Sanders type.
It's ~$4 million per for both so have to think there's another move coming. Or they're drafting a back.
I don't mind it. Would guess it's pretty incentive laden. If they can get one of the vet RBs on the block for cheap, then go for it. If not, they need to draft one in the 2nd or 3rd round badly.
If we can address the rest of our needs via trade or free agency, totally down on drafting a RB in the 2nd or 3rd I like this year’s class
