Horizon- Forbidden West 2/18/22

Now we wait 5 years to complete the trilogy

 

Somehow the tech is going to improve more during this time and the game will be even more visually astonishing. Happy to wait.

 

Just finished Zero Dawn. Man I got sucked into that story. Excited to start Forbidden West and see what happens next.
Confirming that I can still at this point buy the PS4 version for $10 cheaper and upgrade for free to the PS5 version? Almost seems too good to be true.

After playing zero dawn I was like this forbidden west will be a fun game but there’s no chance the story will come anywhere close to being as cool, and yet….

 

That’s high praise. Now I almost want to skip the Frozen Wilds DLC and jump right into Forbidden West.

agreed. Frozen wilds is one of the best DLC’s I’ve played. I figured forbidden west would be a bigger and better DLC and man was I wrong

 

Sounds like we might get an announcement on the DLC at the game awards. Supposed to be called “The Burning Shores”

 

The Shadow Carja war prequel?

 

unsure it’s actually called Burning Shores not Burning Wilds and it’s going to take place in central California it seems. Other than that I haven’t seen any details leak

 

my kids deleted my game because they needed room on the ps5. I can’t remember with the zero dawn dlc, do you need a save file to play it

 

As long as you have PS+ you can redownload all your save game data off the cloud. You’ll need to install again however.

Unless they actively deleted your save files too it should still be on there. I delete games all the time but the save files stay since they are stored elsewhere.

I'm guessing they wouldn't even know where to find the save files so you should be okay.

 

Just got Zero Dawn Complete Edition, obviously behind the times but Newegg had a nice sale going and I play PC so I'm excited. Played a little bit last night and got through the first Sawtooth hunt.

Some early thoughts:

-My first tall neck was an experience, that was so fucking cool. I just rode on top for awhile just taking in everything.

-Snapmaws are terrifying, but I feel that's true just as I progress in general. Like I get somewhere new and I see something in the distance I'm like what.the.fuck is that?? It's awesome.

-I was riding something, a broadhead I think, just exploring once I got to Carja and I saw a shadow from above. And then I got fucking obliterated by a Stormbird that I didn't even know existed until then lol.

 

did the same thing with the tall necks on several occasions. Game is beautiful

 

Think I’m going to replay this because I miss it

 

4/19 release date. So pumped

 

Hopefully, we will get a trailer soon. However, I would really love a Red Raids prequel

Destiny does it but first I've seen for this type of game.

 

Forbidden West came with my PS5. Do I/should I play zero dawn first or can I just jump straight into this?
Need a break from destiny everyone raves about this.

 

Play Zero Dawn, it’s amazing and graphically holds up well.

I will argue it’s the best lore of any game of its generation

 

Ok started 0 dawn last night. Yall weren't kidding about the visuals so far.

 

Gonna be tough to beat the last two God of Wars and The Last of Us as far as lore/story goes for me.

Full disclosure I have no idea if those are considered the same generation or not. Or what's considered lore lol.

 

Having said that l, I'm really really liking it so far. Gonna be hard for me to not fire up forbidden west till I'm done with this.

 

Last Of Us is PS3 generation. I think GOW+Ragnarok is a much better overall story than Zero Dawn+Forbidden Wilds but digging into the story in Zero Dawn is better than GOW 2018.

 

I never played last of us till ps4 lol.

 

Apparently my kids deleted this game off of the ps5. It’s now asking me to purchase it for $69.99 again.

 

Just go to your catalog and redownload it

 

when I go to my library and click on it, it doesn’t give me the option to download it but for some reason if I switch over for my kids profile I can. But he never played the game

 

Can you redownload the actual save game data from the cloud? You’ll probably have to play on your kids profile.
