I find that the screen in my 21 F150 Platinum is just stupid. There's just no fucking reason for it to be that big.
You can definitely get a an AT tire that rides well, you just want to stay in the passenger vehicle load rating ranges (B,C,D) and sizes ( up to 33 or so). I wanted a 35 which forces you to jump up to a 10 ply tire (E) and you definitely sacrifice some ride quality because 10 ply tires are hard as hell.
Any of you F150 guys have issues with your transmissions? I have a '17 3.5eb with 93k miles and within the last few weeks shifting out of third gear can be really jerky. Also it seems to be skipping 2nd gear going from 1 to 3. This morning I was at a stoplight, light turns green so I start accelerating and it's stuck in 2nd gear and won't go any higher, then it just bogs down, shifts to 1st gear and then just starts shifting up through the gears like nothing happened. Googling tells me there are a lot of issues with trannys on these trucks. Lucky me, my warrant expired 2 weeks ago.
Settled on a 2023 GMC AT4 Turbo Diesel I had a 2008 toyota tundra 2wd double cab with 150k miles on it. This new truck is in a whole other world with the technology.
Pretty truck! I have a Jeep but it was hit, and had a 2018 GMC truck as a rental. Absolutely loved it
Well my F150 was on its last leg and was starting to have transmission/shifting issues so that’s why I traded it in. It was the 3.5L ecoboost so power wise it all feels different. The Chevy has the 5.3L V8. Ride wise, the Chevy rides and drives overall a lot better. It has the trail boss package so that comes with some off road items, 2” factory lift and meatier tires, so road sound is a lot louder bc of the tires. So far I love the new truck, first Chevy I’ve owned truck wise outside of my wife’s GMC Yukon. Very happy with purchase for the few days I’ve had it. What blew me away was I paid $30k for my Ford 3 years ago, the dealer gave me $25k for trade in with 94k miles on it lol.
Briefly had a '19 Ram 1500, was my first truck. I liked it, especially for longer trips but living in a city it was miserable getting around, parking, etc. so I traded it in when my wife upgraded and took her car. I'm extremely indecisive and have been looking at everything under the sun (sedans, EVs, etc.) but the new Canyon has me intrigued. A little bit bigger than previous years, interior redesign/tech looks great. Trying to find one to test drive.
my BIL has a canyon thats a couple of years old he's close to 6' tall and probably 250+ and he loves it
I bought one of those soap/foam attachments that go on a pressure washer for my vehicles. I assume using the standard pressure washer to wash my vehicles is bad for the body paint/finish?
I use the foam pressure washer on mine all the time, and usually use the 15 degree tip on mine when rinsing. It works great.
Anyone have a bed cover they really like? I had a bakflip on my old f150 and liked that. Definitely prefer the foldable hard type cover. Been scouring Facebook marketplace for a slightly used one since these things are so outrageously expensive new.

It’s funny, I’m trying to track down a 4R TRD Pro (and considering a Tacoma) bc I want to stave off all the new technology on trucks/SUVs.
6.4 hemi, and it's pretty stout Gunna hook on to a trailer tomorrow probably to test it out with 200 miles on it
BTW, if any of you are in the market for heavy duty trucks..... I highly recommend not considering a GM product right now, especially the 6.6L gas engine, it burns oil like its its job But GM also has a brake issue they haven't figured out yet on the heavy trucks, so just beware
If I’m ever getting a heavy duty it’d be a diesel, but I’d also like to pull a 5th wheel camper with it. No need for it right now.
I was sitting outside of our camper with my back to the road and was like damn that sounds like a semi truck. Turn around oh fuck yep that’s a semi truck. we had by far the cheapest camper in that rv resort by an easy 100k. There were some absolute units at that place
Coachmen clipper 17bh. Felt very poor there but it was a good time. We were up that way for a wedding.
Sold my Tundra a few months ago because that gas mileage was unsustainable with my daily commute, but I rejoined the truck gang on Tuesday.
I knew a couple of guys who went in together for a rig like that for nascar races, so they could have the extra bed in the truck Best part was the truck was actually an automatic
The transmission on my 2022 tundra is definitely not smooth-very jerky. And there is definitely a turbo lag. You punch it then like a second later it accelerates.
Added these drop step running boards. Functionally, they don't really do anything for me. I like the look though.
Those will prob be my next tires. My Chevy has the Goodyear Wrangler AT. They suck and are loud as hell.
