Fine. Poch was great while he was here but there were undeniable issues and I don’t know if he’s worked those out. I don’t think he was the most tactically astute guy (that stupid fucking midfield diamond we kept playing for months on end), he didn’t want to work under a DoF, and he was bad for our youth players. I don’t think enough has changed at the club for a second stint for him to be as successful as the first.

i think Poch was pretty good for youth but maybe Kane just clouding my judgment. From my memory with Poch we had Kane, Bentaleb, Mason, Carroll, Dele, Dier all playing. Compare that to anyone weve had since...

 

and even Eriksen was young. If I recall we had the youngest team in the league.

Didnt bring up Kane but gave him the start over Soldado and played him extensively and also Carroll, Winks, Dele, Dier. May not be a huge amount but to say he didnt do anything for youth after the shit we've seen since is something.

 

I think our use of youth has been significantly better since Poch left. Dele and Dier weren’t from our academy. We bought them. Carroll was a senior player before Poch showed up. Most damning, though, was his refusal to allow players to go on loan. Since he’s been gone we’ve been sending kids out on loan again instead of them just wasting away in our academy and not getting any experience.
