With Gibbs and Branch, that’s now 5 Bama players for the Lions, passing the Pats, Dolphins, Eagles, Commanders, and Giants for most in the NFL. It’s 6 if you wanna count Saivion Smith.
And I believe there are going to be a lot of people kicking themselves that they let Branch pass them by all the way to that spot
With Byron Young, that makes it 6 of the top 70 picks from a team that had no business losing either game it lost.
Really confused by the Latu pick, dude sucked for us. I guess the 49ers loved the measureables and assume they can get more out of him. Even the broadcast crew were calling him a backup NFL TE.
Latu looked great in '21 up until the A&M game where he had like 5 passes dropped and never looked really even good, much less 3rd worthy again. Probably the worst blocking TE1 we've had in years as well.
Latu has a lot of upside. He’s an athletic tight end which is what the NFL is looking for now. He has had issues with drops obviously but if he ever got over that I think he could have a decent career.
Sure, but nobody thought about drafting Cavan. Latu has enough athleticism to warrant being drafted, but a TE who can neither catch nor block in the 3rd round is interesting.
Rewatching the 2021 Iron Bowl, the fact that we were down 10-3 with 1:27 to go on 3rd and 10 from the Barn’s 2 yard line and we won this game makes me absolutely forever love Bryce. Also makes me want Ja’Corey Brooks to be a true dominating #1 receiver this year.
Took a 7-3 lead to the bottom of the 5th in baseball. We’ve given up 6 so far. LSU still has bases loaded with 2 outs.
