Playing the Secession Member/Guest right now, but played with this guy a couple days before that shot a cool 62. Had nine birdies on the front nine to start. It was unreal. He played at Auburn, but never really made it on KFT or Canadian Tour. Was unbelievable to watch.
It amazes me to play with guys like that and just in awe of watching them play. And then it hits that they can’t be consistent on the minor tournaments. The dudes on the PGA are just on another level. I wish the pga would take me up on my idea. Have a drawing for a local 10 to scratch golfer get to go out as the last guy of the day on the opening round. Just to watch them try to play the course like we would after seeing the pros tear it up would be fun to watch.
I’ve made friends with an older guy at my club who is basically a lifetime mini tour player. Has Mondayed into a few things each year (insanely hard to do on the senior tour), made it through qualifying for the senior us open a few times and has our course record of 59. His group went off ahead of ours a few weeks ago and then I saw him on the range when I was packing up. He’s helped me with my swing over the years so I stopped to ask him a question and asked what he was working on. He said he made 7 birdies and an eagle but kept pulling his wedges about 5 feet left and was trying to get it fixed. smh I’m just trying to keep it in the 80’s.
Lots of mic'd up personalities playing bad golf. Some rando stuck at the end of a tournament? Not so much funny business.
Is that saying Finau went 10th? What's everyone's thoughts on DJ in DFS? He's priced as a guy that just needs to make the cut but he hasn't really done anything worth a damn in a while.
Let’s discuss it next, but before that let me tell you how Imagine Golf has me imagining how I will win a major with my PXG clubs
Brooks won on LIV the week prior to the Masters and came in 2nd with a real chance to win going into the final round. DJ should at the very least be on a confidence up swing just as Jason Day should be after winning the Bryon Nelson.
That reporter that got all defensive at JT suggesting weather in upstate NY could have been bad a few weeks ago is looking really dumb right now
Any of you FL golfers I’m hosting a fundraiser golf tournament on 9/1 on the world famous PGA National Champ course if anyone wants to play
Rory’s interviews this week talking about how he wants to move away from his leadership role and focus on golf seemed concerning. Didn’t seem like the kind of thing someone confident in their game would do.
ahh yes, take out the most famous/biggest draw in the game (active) for a guy who is yet to win a real pga tour event.
