if they do work requirements it'll be some nonsense with tanf which is a useless program so each side can pretend they got a concession
Couple of thoughts. Either Dems have just as much dirt out there and all of this is both hands on a button they’ll never push or They’re all really fine with everything going on to an extent. You’ll notice the only ones pointing this stuff out are younger and newer congresspeople.
Third option. They’re hopeless idealists who still believe in institutions when dealing with their opponents he’ll bent on tearing things to pieces.
“These people are so dumb” was the conventional explanation but “they are greedy fucks who don’t care as long as they’re still making money” is more current with the times.
If he put on a comically large clown tie over his hoodie they’d have to make him president, it’s in Madison 65 of the federalist papers I believe.
I just got in an Uber and my Uber driver is listening to COVID conspiracy shit from Russell Brand. I didn’t know he was a like this (don’t pay attention to famous people’s wacky opinions generally) and I am crushed that Forgetting Sarah Marshall is now ruined for me.
currently battling my 3rd bout of shingles myself. Currently on the 3rd week. They can suck but mine have all been pretty benign. My first two rounds all I had were the bumps and no other symptoms. This round they have been burning and itching in the morning and at night. Like bad mosquito bites that don’t go away, but the symptoms can be pretty debilitating.
I had shingles a few years back and it was legit the most painful thing Ive ever experienced. basically felt like someone dragging a molten lava fork across my side for a week
Well that’s not comforting to hear since I had my first case last summer. My rash wasn’t too bad, but the back and rib pain was terrible.
Nice one-two punch in the group chat. Same dolt pointed out that Fetterman’s speech hasn’t recovered so he should step down and that rifles kill relatively less people so we shouldn’t restrict or ban ARs. In the words of porky pig, that’s all folks.
Few better chaudenfreude pleasures than recommending shingles vaccine to someone who says "no I don't think I need that my immune system is very great" then coming in a year later feeling like their tit is burning off in a grease fire. I'm burnt out.
The Republican Party made the odd decision to normalize being antivax and if COVID didn’t kill them, they’re in for a miserable reality check
"It's >90% effective" "Hmm that's not great, I'll take my chances with the electrified swarm of fire ants tunneling through my chest for months"
im immunocompromised but I will say walgreens didnt really ask anything, it's more of an insurance question I think but mine was covered
I have had it before when I was around 38 and quit tobacco and my immune system was shot. Even as such, insurance will not approve me to get the vaccine. Eat Arbys.
Hoyt for president* *I know nothing about him so fuck him if he has other bad takes, but that email above (if true) is awesome.
As I always say the third is in essence the same thing. They are okay with the shit the way it is because it works for them. Rich powerful don’t want things to change. The only reason democrats appear to care a little more is because there are more POC in their party.
I would say there are a contingent of younger people in Congress (Frost, AOC, Moskowitz) along with some older (Plaskett, Goldman, etc) that actually seem to care. The problem is that the Senate is full of olds who just won’t go away. We’ve talked about it before but the younger generation are our only hope to save this thing.
"LeT tHe PaReNtS dEcIdE". No - Fuck parents (including myself). We don't know how to create curriculums, most aren't educated enough (especially the ones who complain about boogyman shit), and almost all are irrational when it comes to their own kids. Let teachers and administrators do their fucking job and also stop electing psychos to school boards.
Hey guys, I know you went to school and racked up enormous debt with the idea of making the world a better place by helping kids, but let’s leave curriculum to people who think masks don’t work and fake reading the Bible and fake knowing what the scriptures mean.
The idea falls flat when she's as likely to write her vote in for a stick of butter than the actual nominee
